How to not start playing Splinterlands for the first few days (Part II)

Hi Everyone,

are you tired of reading success stories, cool strategies and random battle posts for splinterlands? Are you maybe more interested in reading about others mistakes in the game to have a lough an avoid them yourself? This might be worth a lough for you.

My Splinterlands story started on Nov 15 which was 7 days ago without any clue on how to earn and how to play. You might say the smart thing would be to watch videos and read all these cool guides here in the community after using an affiliate link that would set you up with a decent amount of starting DEC.

This would be quite a boring post if this was my story 😅

Mistake #7: Do not take the time to understand how Hive Blockchain works in combination with Splinterlands

I want to start playing and Crypto interdependencies are just too complex

Mistake #8: Randomly select to participate in tournaments expecting my high value cards to carry me through without reading the tournament roules. Who would have expected that there was a Legendary card exclusion rendering my rented cards useless?😅

I did not expect many people to have good cards in tournaments only payed for in DEC and considered all roules to be the same

Mistake #9: Expect for tournament participation prices to always be the same

It costs X DEC today and will cost X DEC tomorrow. Why should this change?

Take-Away for new Players:

Be aware that every action you take in game or on the Hive Blockchain will result in your Resource credits decreasing, which means you will not be able to take further actions when it is very low. Consider going to https://giftgiver.site/ to get a free delegation.

Be aware that every tournament has its own roules on card levels, specific conditions and Legendary cards. Read these rules before paying the joining fee. Do not be a Dumbass like me!

Keep in mind, that the recommended starter tournaments like the Untamed Kobold Mining Expedition will increase in price if you reach silver
