Opening my last Splinterlands pack from Chaos Legion edition & some thoughts about new Energy System

As you can know Chaos Legion era already gone. And all pack are have been sold out!

So it was big edition which brought to us many interesting and valuable cards and I think every one of us has his/her favorite card from this edition. But in this post I want to talk about another side of Splinterlands -- opening packs.
As you may know from my post about results of the previous season I left pack for desert to open it when all packs will be sold out on official market.

And now I'm glad to say that time has come! And I'm ready to open it!

But result does not always meet with our expectations as it happened with me.

And according to peakmosters explorer value of this cards not so big as I wish. Just nearly 2$

But Obsidian rare summoner became excellent surprise so it'll appear soon on the rental market!

By the way it's not all for today! Also I should mention that today I decided to open Riftwatchers pack which was waiting it's time also since previous season!

And now let's see which cards were in this pack.

So as you can see here almost cards are rare! And even one of them as it turned out was with gold foil. It was Technologist. And according to market it's price 2.99$
And all cards value according to peakmosters almost 5$.

I think not bad especially if to compare it with value of cards in previous pack.
Now that's all with opening packs for current season as I think.

Let's move to the next one important thing which I should mention that in the last Splinterlans post was announced a new Energy system instead of ECR. It will be released during the maintenance window on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023. and as it said

that each account will have a maximum pool of 50 "Energy". Each ranked battle played will use up exactly 1 Energy and if a player does not have any Energy left then they will not be able to play ranked battles until they get more. Energy will automatically regenerate over time at the rate of 1 Energy per hour, and there will also be an option for players to purchase more Energy if they would like to continue playing without waiting for their Energy to regenerate.<

Also if player wants to play more battles he can buy energy according announced price for each energy point for each league as it shown in table.

In my opinion this changes can bring new element to the game and to force players play more attentively! But who was right and how the game will change only time will tell us!
