I've never really had a problem with you or ocdb before that I can remember.

Now that Hive seems to be well above 1 USD, a lot of posts are making 300+ in rewards. Would you agree that many of those posts need to be downvoted now for being over-rewarded?

I'm not sure the exact circumstances of downvoting of ura-soul or how it started, but I tought it was because he had a post that was about 80 USD right? With posts on trending all being over 200 USD when will see see downvotes hitting those?

I'm not asking this to start a war or battle with you or anyone, genuinely looking to understand why there is a large disconnect. And maybe ocdb only dved him 1, 2, or 3 times, i'm not keeping track and I would really just like to move past this whole thing, but I am curious if ocdb and curangel and others are going to start downvoting trending posts as they are hilariously over-rewarded. Does nobody truly find this content to be over-rewarded for the effort put in?

In turn for our curation group, we are upvoting stuff at a lower % for what we control, so we can spread the rewards out better in general. There are whales who upvote content manually that we don't have any communication with as they don't engage in commenting or on discord. So I want you to know that specific detail because yes sometimes the posts in IW/DD will get pretty high compared to the effort, situations like that are outside our control.

I don't know about the technicals of these (edit) downvotes (automated? constant updates?), but imagine the psychology of having to rate what is overvalued in something that i believe it is measured mostly (asking in the code?) in HIVE not $'s ? (50/50 hbd but the low posts get more hive?), even if it was 50% and with the constant fluctuations of price now you get 10 hive / 100$ next week you get 10 hive / 1000$ or reverse, how do you keep a stable criteria ? That also intrigues me.

In those 7 days must be a mindfuck for these people, and the next going to be different, everytime.

Absurd amounts of DV power (going below zero, either rewards or reputation.
Why not just downvote with less power, at least it gives some sort of message or opinion wich MIGHT be productive instead of "complete destruction" of a post / account. But all there is now is destruction. Only with more active users will this settle down a bit either voting up or down, before any changes that are being discussed elegantly by you coders, in theory it could work with active users (maybe), but not every user that posts uses downvotes or upvotes (or vice versa), might be growing pains... and also there was the ninja mine i guess it didn't help.

Most destructive downvotes (removing big value from valid accounts / curators) seem to be following an agenda which is basically anti alternative and independent media and journalists, and that is also not hard to see, and that i guess is history being written in the blockchain.

There can be a technical discussion and what might seem justification, but i'm seeing it as destroy here, deliver there, and i'm not mentioning or quoting bad posts of the trending page because i think there is no such thing as an overvalued post, but i agree with that OPINION (edit) (of the state of the trending), i wouldn't use my millions of HP to DV them like that.

PS: i remember in the first days of steemit people would be like WOAH who downvoted me 0.01c !? What is happening ? And now most users can go about their lives and understand the errors or infrigement when that is the case (small downvotes), except now when the slider goes brrrr: annnnnd it's gone.
