In the following battle, I ran a lineup I wanted to try since Spirit Hoarder got airdropped. Having rented one for the season, I was finally able to try this out.

Trying out Triage

The idea was to put Mycelic Slipspawn in the back to attract most of the opposition’s attacks and as a consequence, buy enough time for the Unicorn Mustang to get through my opponent’s tank.

I thought I would get at least one heal from Triage but the opposing monsters were so fast that it didn’t work that way. They rushed through Slipspawn in one single turn.

Fortunately enough, Triage still got useful as Spirit Hoarder ended up self-healing itself to offset Uraeus sneak attacks. It acted as a perfect distraction to help me take down my opponent’s front line.

Healing always Vital

In the Equalizer ruleset, there is a good chance that the tanks from both teams have a huge amount of health points. And, the more health we get, the more we can heal back up.

Thus, having one or two Tank Heal in those situations often make the difference. It not only allows our tank to outlive the one on the opposite side but, it actually gives extra health to all our monsters getting to the front line.

On top of that, as every monster gets the same amount of health, the Opportunity monsters either focus their attacks on the frontline or on the backline, hardly in the middle unless they are combined with snipers.

Goblin Psychic

Chaos Legion came out without any self-heal tank at level 1, which made Tank Heal even more precious. Goblin Psychic was one of the few new monsters offering this ability right from the start.
