Unleashing Venka The Vile: A Strategic Insight into the Rebellion Airdrop

Hello Splinters Family

My article today is about my use of the upcoming rebellion airdrop led by Venka The Vile. I utilized her when I joined the Silver League Ghosts tournament. The Silver League Ghosts tournament offers free entry, and all players will receive a complete set of delegated cards, including the upcoming 3rd rebellion airdrop led by Venka The Vile.

VENKA THE VILE.png

Port Pristine was part of the Kingdom of Khymia before it bowed to the overwhelming might of the Chaos Empire. Now, Commander Venka the Vile rules the city with brutal efficiency. Her battalion of legionnaires enforces compliance with the laws of the Empire and ensures no one gets any stupid ideas about inalienable rights like life, liberty, and other such nonsense.

Lately, however, Venka’s legionnaires have been turning up dead: slit throats in some shadowy alley, felled in the street with an arrow to the eye by a rooftop sniper, or blown to bits by explosives both incendiary and magical. Her requests for replacements are drawing questions from her superiors, and Venka knows she’ll have to squash this little resistance before it becomes something more. - From splinterlands.com lore

Venka The Vile is the 3rd airdrop from the rebellion set. She is a legendary neutral element melee attacker with 7 mana. At her level 1, she has the abilities Charge and Piercing. The Charge ability is a new ability where a melee attacker can attack from any position to target the enemy in the 1st position. When Venka The Vile reaches level 2, her abilities are enhanced with Oppress. Upon reaching level 3, she retains the same abilities but her speed increases by 1, giving her a total of 4 speed at level 3. At her max level, she also gains the Trample ability, and her life and melee damage are increased, resulting in her max stats being 7 melee damage, 5 speed, 0 armor, and 6 life.

TEAM COMPOSITION

battle line-up card.png

For this battle, I chose Archmage Arius as the summoner, who grants +1 damage to melee, ranged, and magic for all units. That's why I chose him to strengthen the attack damage of the units. For the 1st position, I selected Lord Arianthus, a no-attack monster with shield, void, and magic reflect abilities. I placed him at the front for defense against the opponent's tank because of his ability to withstand attacks from the front. For the 2nd position, I chose Creeping Ooze, a melee attacker with a slow ability, to reduce the opponent's speed. For the 3rd position, I chose Venka The Vile, a melee attacker with charge, piercing, and oppress abilities. Even though Venka is in the 3rd position, she can still attack the 1st position because of her charge ability. For the 4th position, I chose Elven Cutthroat, a melee attacker with sneak ability, to attack the opponent's last position. For the 5th position, I chose Uraeus, a melee attacker with sneak ability. Together with Elven, they will attack the opponent's last position. For the last position, I chose Doctor Blight, a magic attacker with affliction, camouflage, and poison abilities, to prevent healing on the opponent's 1st position.

KEYNOTES

Because of Venka The Vile's charge ability, she can attack the 1st position. The charge ability allows melee attackers to attack the opponent's 1st position regardless of their position.

BATTLE HIGHLIGHTS

image.png

In round 1, only one monster died in the battle, and it was the opponent's Venari Marksman. He was killed by Doctor Blight.

image.png

In round 4, the opponent's Xenith Monk killed my Lord Arianthus, but because of the "born again" ruleset, my Lord Arianthus was revived in the battle. So, he continues to deal damage to the opponent's magic attackers because of his magic reflect ability.

At the start of round 5, the Xenith Monk died from poison inflicted by Doctor Blight in round 4. Venka The Vile then killed Venari Spellsmith after Elven broke his armor. The opponent Doctor Blight also died due to the magic reflection possessed by Lord Arianthus. Because of this, the battle ended with the opponent Doctor Blight being killed.
