Part 15...If I were a new player, would I be able to play this game? Dust to Diamond!

I hate being Debbie Downer (no offense to any Debbies out there, in fact I love Little Debbies, lol), but we're gonna have to revisit the rewards again. If you have been following me from the start (My first DUST to DIAMOND post), You will understand that I started this alt noob account as an experiment to see what it would be like to have to come into this game with nothing. Before the new rewards system update it was 1 loot chest a day and 5 (one time got 7 from bronze II) at end of season. With the new update will it be any different? Well sort of. Yesterday was the first time that I got a daily chest. I rented cards that are about as low as I can go, keeping in mind that I don't have but just a little DEC and just got abit from selling a card yesterday.

Well from the cards I rented (Fire Splinter) I was able to achieve a chest.

But before I reveal the chest I have a couple of tips.

1. If you rent, check the price of level 2 summoners and gold cards. They are relatively cheap and if you are able to get a level 2 summoner you can use up to level 3 common cards. common cards are also relatively cheap. And some gold cards can go for .100 DEC. If you use a gold card you get bonus points. Also for the time being Don't forget that alpha, beta and promo cards also get a bonus. My noob account isn't in a guild (also for bonus) and probably wouldn't qualify for one yet.
2. If you're splinter that you rented (for 24 hours don't forget) isn't very good against another person that is obviously focused on a splinter, don't use it. pick a good counter and get the win. the higher you get your rating the better your rshares. So if you win, even with starter cards, you may not win rshares but your rating goes up. So your next win can be worth even more. Better than losing and lowering your rating.
3. Try your best to string together some wins. I had a streak of 5 wins and got 66 rshares on my 5th win. LOL then I lost 5 in a row. Oh well win some lose some.
   
   

So that being said here is the result of my loot chest that took me over an hour to grind for:

you guessed it. A FREAKIN' POTION!!!!
I can't tell you how disappointed I was. Renting the cards cost about 1 DEC (little less) Grinding for an hour, wins and losses. And that's my reward. Honestly, If I was a true noob, I would have quit right here. I feel for you noobs out there. Hopefully you purchased a spellbook after the new rewards to get the free 3k credits also. Because I didn't have that luxury. Fortunately I have a gold level account to keep me busy. And this potion, when I saw it, just felt like a complete slap in the face. Noobs need cards and yet here we are with the same problem The rewards suck. I hope Splinterlands is listening. Because you will lose your new player base.

For Now I will keep posting about my noob account. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for a decent end of season. But I'm pretty sure I'll have less than 5 chests.
