SACRED UNICORN Splinterlands Art Contest

Esta es mi entrada para el concurso de esta semana, espero que esta pieza sea mejor recibida porque es una carta que me gusta mucho.

This is my entry for this week's contest, I hope this piece is better received because it's a card I really like.

Elegi esta pieza porque me encantan los caballos, debo admitir que durante toda mi etapa en el dibujo no he realizado mucho, pero como ser humano he convivido con muchos, en especial de niño, me gustaría decir que estos animales tienen un espacio especial en mi vida.

Otra cosa que me llamo la atención es saber que en el lore de #splinterlands los unicornios tienen un toque especial con poderes y magia unica, me encanta que se le haga enfasis en su capacidad de recuperarse del daño con gran facilidad.

I chose this piece because I love horses, I must admit that during all my time in drawing I have not done much, but as a human being I have lived with many, especially as a child, I would like to say that these animals have a special place in my life.

Another thing that caught my attention is to know that in the lore of #splinterlands the unicorns have a special touch with unique powers and magic, I love that it emphasizes their ability to recover from damage with great ease.

Esta pieza la realice en tres etapas debido a la complejidad del mismo:

En el primer paso me encontre el bosquejo y delineado de la pieza, una vez realizado, comence a manchar con un pincel un poco mas grueso, quise usar el efecto del marcador, pero luego me a un pincel mixto con toques de acuarelas, y en ese punto el dibujo comenzo a tomar forma, al principio los grises eran muy solidos, pero a medida que iba mezclando la pieza iba tomando otro aspecto mas suave y correcto.

This piece was made in three stages due to its complexity:

In the first step I found the sketch and outline of the piece, once done, I started to stain with a brush a little thicker, I wanted to use the effect of the marker, but then I went to a mixed brush with touches of watercolours, and at that point the drawing began to take shape, at first the greys were very solid, but as I was mixing the piece was taking another aspect more smooth and correct.

En la segunda fase me encanto el colocar el color azul, en ese punto pense en dejarlo asi, pues la pieza ya había tomado un tomo explendido, me encanto ese punto, pero igual segui suavizando un poco mas y agregando tonos donde me parecian necesarios.

In the second phase I loved the blue colour, at that point I thought about leaving it like that, because the piece had already taken an extended shape, I loved that point, but I kept softening it a little more and adding tones where I thought it was necessary.

Para la fase final no me dicidi en como hacer el fondo asi que quise experimentar un poco y cree esta especie de semi fondo a medio plano, creo que seguire usando este estilo para proximos dibujos, pues me parecio curioso, en especial a la hora de agregar los truenos, senti que esa parte le daba poder a la imagen y queria lograr una especie de efecto en el la energía saliera de la pieza.

For the final phase I didn't decide how to make the background so I wanted to experiment a bit and I created this kind of semi background to half plane, I think I will continue using this style for next drawings, because I found it curious, especially when adding the thunder, I felt that this part gave power to the image and I wanted to achieve a kind of effect in which the energy came out of the piece.
