RE: My First & Final Student

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

"First you must learn how to learn."

Very much this. While I may have taught my sons specific things, mostly what I taught them was how to learn what they wanted to know.

When you discuss here methods to perform as a short man, I was impressed that you deeply pursued your craft, to consider such details I have never really thought about. I am of perhaps average height, and perhaps that explains my failure to consider something more relevant to those at either end of the height spectrum, but that you have well considered this shows you have considered every facet of showmanship.

I agree that teaching is the most effective way to learn the subject.

Thanks!

Gosh. Have you read your review?

"'Strange Reflections' is written by a young magician and concerns itself with the importance of the magi (or any artist's) story. It is a slim volume, at 60 pages, and is emphatically not about tricks, in case you're looking for secrets. It explores the technique of the performer / artist finding - and then conveying authentically - their unique essence as an individual. Is your expression truly one of a kind? If not, why not?

"How do you access those 'hidden diamonds' that are your unique birthright? And have you given much, if any, consideration to the emotional content or creative force behind your technical performance?

"All excellent questions and this publication is a definite marker on the journey this brilliant young man is on with his art. Trust me, you will come to know his name."

Holy Crap! That would go to my head.
