Share Your Battle: Queen Mycelia

Prelude
Hello everybody, it's time again for Share Your Battle. It's been a hectic week for me, with quite a fair bit of issues in office. Nevertheless, I still want to continue the weekly share your battle challenge. This week, by right I should be sharing on Tenyii Striker but I didn't had a proper Fire match/focus. Hence, I will be sharing on Queen Mycelia instead whom featured in quite a number of matches I had this week.

Thoughts on Queen Mycelia

Queen Mycelia denotes the queen in the fungus realm. I couldn't really find any picture that can clearly depict it, but I have to say, the in-game art is amazing and beautifully done.

Being the queen, she definitely has abilities above her Mycelic armies.

Without further a do, let's get started with this week's sharing.
Let's look at the Level 1 base stats for Queen Mycelia:

Beyond Gold - Rust

What does Queen Mycelia looking on growth?
Remember I mentioned earlier about leading her army, base level she protects, she subsequently amplifies at silver, provide triage at gold and finally rust off opponent's armour at Diamond and above.

With all these in mind, doesn't she does what a queen suppose to do. Make her army fight efficiently, giving them protection and first aid. A monster card to own, if possible to start, she will end in every lineup that I play earth splinter on.

Queen Mycelia	4	3rd	Protects the squad and zapping with her magic attack

Mycelic Slipspawn	9	6th	Taunts and takes in all the punishment initially intended for the front line.

• Position 5 - Kulu Swimhunter

Prediction before pressing rumble
Hehe, heavy melee on my opponent lineup. Time for Protect ability of Queen Mycelia to shine. But I need to be wary of the Merdaali Guardian which heals the Diemonshark and might pose a problem if not settled fast.

Let's get ready to rumble
Round 1, Morphoid went down after taking 2 whacks, fulfilling what it needs to do while other long range attacks went to Slipspawn. Diemonshark successfully taken out by magic squad.

Round 2, Flying Squid, Fasting Seaweed, Merdaali Guardian, taken out quickly by the magic squad.

Round 3, What remains have been successfully disposed by my magic squad. Victory secured.

After Thoughts
Seems like an easy fight isn't it? When it comes to facing heavy melee squad, the presence of Queen Mycelia become the star of the show.

And if you realised, do this resemble a pre Chaos Legion water splinter combo of Alric and Venari Wavesmith?

The protect was key to shield off melee/range damages onto magic splinters while they do their damage.

What makes it more viable in an earth splinter lineup is that we have Mycelic Slipspawn which taunts to take in all the punishment and Goblin Psychic to heal the frontline. Imagine a levelled a Queen Mycelia whom can provide triage and heal Mycelic Slipspawn. It will be a very scary lineup to face.

However, in the event, if we face a heavy magic lineup, it will no longer be as useful as the protect will just be bypassed and magic damage will still push through.

Did my strategy work in this game? Yes it did and it very well. I am amazed by how this lineup overthrow my opponent's lineup with a breeze.

Will I be using Queen Mycelia often in the future? Yes I will as she has been instrumental in my earth splinter battles. She possess all the needed abilities to help in battle in multi variate situations and very versatile. I strongly urge everyone to either own 1 copy or continuously rent this card as she is just so good.
