Social Media Challenge: Splinterlands Weekly (July 21 - July 27) + Brawl Report

Greetings everyone, how is everybody doing this week? I was hit by a flu bug and spend most of my time either at work or resting. This had limited my play time but I still ensured I showed up for brawl for my guild. Today's post will also include account growth and brawl report for PIZZA 2.

With Card Power (CP) requirements abolished, I will just share the cards that I get throughout the week from chest.

Summary
I had reduced play time while I was unwell and hence lowered chest. To note, because of my SPS staked amount, I am getting severe reduction in rewards multiplier. Hence it is key for me to be working on getting more SPS. And this is why brawl participation is very important. It helps to bring you more SPS to undo the impairment on reward multiplier.

My gosh, to jump to next silver tier needs over 3000 SPS. I am not sure how will I be able to do that, but I will continue pushing, from brawls and daily matches.

Time for some brawl action! Let's take a look look at the matches I played this brawl. As usual, I am anchoring Fray 3 for my guild which is the Novice Chaos Legion Fray, so cards will be at lowest form without additional levelled up stats/abilities.

On first look especially with a Quora on my opponent's side, this is not looking good.

Outcome: Win! The Windeku at backline outsmarted my opponent's tactics where thorns chomp up the damage before the remaining cards took Quora out.

Very similar lineup, both me and my opponent using water splinter. However I choose for 2 x opportunist while my opponent opted for a healer.

Outcome: Win! Double opportunist is not easy to handle. Healers can't handle them.

Deploying double gladius especially that it is a melee match. Hope Quora and Katrelba can do some magic.

Outcome: Win! They did not disappoint and did their work from front and back.

No cleanse, so I had to strike faster and since it is noxious fumes, time to deploy martyr detonators to sacrifice and boost the squad.

Outcome: Win! Things went as planned, strike early detonate and the rest is just picking up of scraps.

Silent summoner and back to basic, this is why I didn't choose earth to use Quora. Instead I choose fast hitting cards to blast my way through.

Outcome: Win! The range attackers hit hard and the blast was equally hard, glad to have opted to use this lineup.

Even stevens, throw in all the even mana cards I have.

Outcome: Win! Grund + Quora and the rest of the lineup held strong and secured the victory.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 6 matches this brawl and I won all of them, achieving a clean sweep. Whew, thankful to be able to get clean sweep when there were a number of tough matches. But I cannot be complacent, need to keep improving my strategies and gameplay.

Woohoo! We have retained our top spot. Great job everyone in PIZZA 2, this doesn't come easy. It needed sufficient frays to be filled and good gameplay by all the win matches to land at the top. Let's keep up our momentum and do our best for the next brawl. Go PIZZA 2!

Thoughts about Splinterlands Journey
It's really getting tougher to win games in silver league, often needing 5 wins to get 1 silver chest. With the difficulty, we need to focus on increasing our staked SPS in order to reduce the number of wins to get 1 chest. And this will be what I will be working on right now.
