Social Media Challenge: Splinterlands Weekly (July 28 - Aug 3) + Brawl Report

Greetings everyone, how is everybody doing this week? I have fully recovered from the wicked fly I had last week. While I am back to health, plenty of work to catch up, and I find that it is getting very very hard to win in Silver League. Almost everyone I see are dueling with fully upgraded silver deck. Today's post will also include account growth and brawl report for PIZZA 2.

With Card Power (CP) requirements abolished, I will just share the cards that I get throughout the week from chest.

Summary
I had a little more time this week but the difficulty of opponents encountered were a little too high. It is difficult to get wins, even when I am using same lineup as my opponent, I lose out due to being under-levelled. I think key is to get the summoners first to Lvl 4 for rare ones and Lvl 2 for Legendary ones. Will start working on the 2 splinters that I play more frequent. Once that is ok, the SPS needs to be built in parallel to ensure multiplier is at the desirable level for better rewards.

Not a big climb and with difficulty winning, time to go back to the drawing board and find some way to improve the level of some of my more commonly used cards.

End of Season Rewards

I guess this should be the last time I will be seeing gold end of season. With my current deck condition and with everyone using stronger cards, it will be a tough climb unless I upgrade my deck sufficiently as well. But, the rewards from this end of season is rather good with some gold foil cards and a decent amount of SPS.

Brawl Report
Time for some brawl action! Let's take a look look at the matches I played this brawl. As usual, I am anchoring Fray 3 for my guild which is the Novice Chaos Legion Fray, so cards will be at lowest form without additional levelled up stats/abilities.

This match should pose no problem. Mycelia's armour can help sustain one attack. Then with double heal from Goblin Psychic and Quora herself, further ensures the victory in hand.

Outcome: Win! As predicted, Quora tear down my opponent's lineup while growing bigger with each kill.

I deployed my double martyr combo to boost Oshannus, prepared a healer and also Isgald to take out tough backline cards.

Outcome: Win! A double boosted Oshannus is no easy foe to fight against. It is too fast and hits you like a truck.

A battle of Quoras with me opting for Queen Mycelia while my opponent opted for Doctor Blight.

Outcome: Win! Somehow I manage to strike first and took out my opponent's Mycelic Slipspawn first then proceeding to take out my opponent's Quora. Subsequently, my Quora feasted and secured the victory.

Double opportunist deployed to ensure fast attack and clearing of backline.

Outcome: Win! The double opportunist helped to secured victory, clearing Captie Katie before she grew out of control.

I did a risky play this match. I fielded explosive rats right at the front, hoping that it will be able to wreck some trouble with its blast. Then the rest are the usual fire splinter cards that I will put with shield, sneak and Chimney.

Outcome: Win! Risk paid off and Chinmey starts chomping off to secure victory.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 5 matches this brawl and I won all of them, achieving another clean sweep. Woohoo, a 2nd clean sweep. But I cannot be complacent, need to continue learning and better my game, especially when normal ranked match I am struggling.

After reaching the top, this week we dropped one spot. Still a strong result achieved by the guild. Let's continue to aim for the top and give our best. Go PIZZA 2!

Thoughts about Splinterlands Journey
I am struggling to win in silver, facing fully upgraded decks is tough. I cannot be slowly down and need to put in extra effort upgrade my deck. This is a learning and growing journey which I am enjoying because it always give me new goals and challenges.
