El día de hoy quiero compartirles mi participación para el concurso de arte semanal de @Splinterlands. Para el dibujo de esta semana he decidido hacer al personaje KRASH WANDERFORD.

Normalmente, me suelo ver todas las cartas varias veces a la hora de escoger un personaje, siempre es algo difícil porque cada vez que veo las cartas siempre hay un personaje nuevo que no había visto antes y me llama atención, en este caso fue un chico con un lobo. Lo escogí porque pensé que podría adaptarlo perfectamente a mi estilo, aparte de que también sería una buena manera de practicar animales haciendo algunos lobos.

• Today I want to share with you my participation for the Splinterlands weekly art contest. For this week's drawing I decided to do the character KRASH WANDERFORD.

• Normally, I usually see all the cards several times when choosing a character, it's always difficult because every time I see the cards there is always a new character that I hadn't seen before and it catches my attention, in this case it was a boy with a wolf. I chose him because I thought I could adapt him perfectly to my style, besides it would also be a good way to practice animals by making some wolves.

Para el boceto utilicé otra vez la técnica del triángulo, la cual trata de unir a los personajes en forma de triángulo, lo pueden ver porque puse al personaje en el centro y agregué a dos lobos a sus costados. También agregué una tienda de acampar que también tiene forma de triángulo justo detrás de ellos. Luego, para terminar, agregué un fondo no tan complicado, con algunos arbustos, árboles y troncos tirados en el suelo.

Luego hice el estudio de color, para ello utilicé colores morados y su color complementario, el cual es el verde, también agregué color amarillo a la carpa para que esa zona sea el punto focal de la ilustración. Hice un fondo sencillo porque quería probar algo nuevo y que hace poco aprendí que si quiero que algo resalte tengo que hacer el resto de la ilustración lo menos notorio posible, por eso hice el fondo morado, con colores oscuros y sin tanto detalle. Siempre me gusta hacer cosas nuevas en mis dibujos, ya que el conocimiento es poder y el conocimiento te hace mejor artista.

• For the sketch I used again the triangle technique, which is about joining the characters in a triangle shape, you can see it because I put the character in the center and added two wolves to his sides. I also added a camping tent that also has a triangle shape right behind them. Then, to finish, I added a not so complicated background, with some bushes, trees and logs lying on the ground.

• Then I did the color study, for that I used purple colors and its complementary color, which is green, I also added yellow color to the tent to make that area the focal point of the illustration. I did a simple background because I wanted to try something new and I recently learned that if I want something to stand out I have to make the rest of the illustration as unnoticeable as possible, that's why I did the purple background, with dark colors and without so much detail. I always like to do new things in my drawings, because knowledge is power and knowledge makes you a better artist.

Llegó la hora de colorear y para ello empecé por el fondo, como siempre lo hago. Empecé a colorear los árboles del fondo con un color morado oscuro, utilizando algunos tonos más claros, fui haciendo el resto del fondo y le agregué algunos detalles al árbol principal. Una vez hecha esa parte procedí a colorear los arbustos de la parte izquierda, aquí utilicé colores más claros, como morados más claros y rosados un poco oscuros, fui coloreándolos poco a poco porque colorear cada hoja lleva su tiempo, también coloreé al amiguito que está sentado en un tronco y coloreé al dicho tronco jaja

Luego empecé a colorear la carpa y la parte derecha de los arbustos, primero empecé por la carpa, luego por el arbusto en forma circular y para finalizar coloreé al arbusto más pequeño. Una vez coloreado el fondo proceso a cobrar el césped y como ya es costumbre en mis últimos dibujos, al césped le agregué algo de tierra para hacerlo más natural y la verdad que ese detalle me encanta, una vez que terminé de colorear el césped agregué algunas piedras y coloreé el tronco que está en la parte inferior derecha.

• It was time to color and for that I started with the background, as I always do. I started coloring the trees in the background with a dark purple color, using some lighter tones, I did the rest of the background and added some details to the main tree. Once that part was done I proceeded to color the bushes on the left side, here I used lighter colors, like lighter purple and a little bit darker pink, I colored them little by little because coloring each leaf takes time, I also colored the little friend that is sitting on a trunk and I colored the trunk haha.

• Then I started coloring the tent and the right side of the bushes, first I started with the tent, then the bush in a circular shape and finally I colored the smaller bush. Once the background was colored I started to color the grass and as usual in my last drawings, I added some earth to the grass to make it more natural and the truth is that I love this detail, once I finished coloring the grass I added some stones and colored the trunk that is in the lower right part.

Llegó la hora de colorear a los personajes, para ello empecé por los lobos, específicamente por el que está del lado izquierdo, honestamente pensé que iba a ser más complicado, pero es igual que colorear a un perro, solo que al lobo le hice unos pelos extra para darle esa sensación de pelaje abundante. Luego coloreé al otro lobo y realicé el mismo proceso que con el anterior. Una vez finalizado el coloreado de los lobos procedí a terminar al personaje principal, estuve probando un estilo diferente de cabello y me gustó mucho, luego coloreé el rostro y la ropa, la cual fue sencilla porque no tenía mucho detalle, también coloreé las vendas que tiene en los brazos y por último coloreé el hueso que tiene en la mano. Decidí agregarle un hueso en la mano porque quería que el espectador tuviera la sensación de que el personaje principal está jugando con los lobos.

• It was time to color the characters, for this I started with the wolves, specifically the one on the left side, I honestly thought it would be more complicated, but it is the same as coloring a dog, only that I made some extra hairs to the wolf to give it that feeling of abundant fur. Then I colored the other wolf and did the same process as with the previous one. Once I finished coloring the wolves I proceeded to finish the main character, I was trying a different hair style and I liked it a lot, then I colored the face and the clothes, which was simple because it didn't have much detail, I also colored the bandages on his arms and finally I colored the bone in his hand. I decided to add a bone in his hand because I wanted the viewer to have the feeling that the main character is playing with the wolves.
