🌿🦫⛏️¡Hola amigos de Hive! Espero que estén muy bien, el día de hoy, después de un tiempo, vuelvo a participar en el concurso semanal de arte de @splinterlands .

Por diferentes circunstancias no he podido participar en los últimos días, de hecho he dibujado muy poco. Pero esta semana decidí volver a participar, en esta ocasión decidí hacer algo más creativo y que me desafiara un poco más. Muchas veces no suelo dibujar cosas que salgan de mi zona de confort, de hecho no suelo dibujar animales, me da miedo hacer algo que no estoy acostumbrado hacer, pero ya estoy decidido a practicar y a hacer algo diferente, pero que me ayude a crecer como artista. En esta ocasión decidí hacer una representación del personaje SCAVO HIRELING, esta vez no hice solo a 1 personaje, sino que quise darle una historia al dibujo, añadiendo más personajes y más detalles al dibujo. Pero bueno, hablemos un poco de este dibujo. ¡Vamos a ello!

• 🌿🦫⛏️Hello friends of Hive! I hope you are very well, today, after a while, I'm back to participate in the weekly art contest of @Splinterlands.

• For different circumstances I have not been able to participate in the last few days, in fact I have drawn very little. But this week I decided to participate again, this time I decided to do something more creative and that would challenge me a little more. Many times I don't usually draw things that go out of my comfort zone, in fact I don't usually draw animals, I'm afraid to do something that I'm not used to do, but I'm determined to practice and do something different, but that will help me grow as an artist. This time I decided to make a representation of the character SCAVO HIRELING, this time I didn't do only 1 character, but I wanted to give a story to the drawing, adding more characters and more details to the drawing. But well, let's talk a little bit about this drawing, let's get to it!

Lo primero que hice fue hacer el boceto, para ello, ya que la especie son topos mineros, decidí hacer a un papá y sus hijos descansando después de un gran día de minería. Con un fondo muy simple y una composición en forma de triángulo, el dibujo está compuesto de puros triángulos, espero que puedan distinguirlos todos.

Luego de hacer el boceto, hice un estudio de color. Normalmente, no suelo hacer dibujos de cuevas o algo parecido, así que fui improvisando con los colores, me gustaron mucho los marrones que añadí al fondo y la luz que refleja a los personajes. El resto de colores van entre marrones, grises y amarillos.

• The first thing I did was to make the sketch, for this, since the species are mining moles, I decided to make a dad and his kids resting after a great day of mining. With a very simple background and a triangle shaped composition, the drawing is composed of pure triangles, I hope you can distinguish them all.

• After making the sketch, I did a color study. Normally, I don't usually make drawings of caves or something similar, so I was improvising with the colors, I really liked the browns that I added to the background and the light that reflects the characters. The rest of the colors go between browns, grays and yellows.

Una vez que tenía el estudio de color hecho empecé a hacer el fondo. Esta ilustración es muy diferente a lo que solía hacer, ya que las técnicas que utilicé en esta ocasión son nuevas para mí. El fondo suelo darle mucho detalle, pero esta vez decidí hacer algo menos resaltante, normalito suelo utilizar un pincel tipo crayón para todo el dibujo. Pero esta vez, como quise hacer algo más complementario, utilicé los pinceles aerógrafos básicos de Photoshop. No lo voy a negar, al principio veía el fondo un poco raro, pero poco a poco me fui acostumbrando jaja.

Una vez que tenía el fondo más o menos hecho empecé a colorear a los personajes, primero empecé por el de arriba, utilizando unos pinceles más simples que también vienen con el programa instalado. Para colorear hice algo más simple, normalmente suelo garabatear en todo el coloreado, pero durante todo el proceso fui haciendo un coloreado muy limpio y detallado.

Fui repitiendo todo ese estilo de coloreado durante todo el dibujo y poco a poco iba detallando cada parte. Luego de colorear al primer personaje fui coloreando al otro topo pequeño, ese fue muy divertido porque lo hice con la manzana del dibujo original. Luego coloreé las rocas, los minerales de oro, el carrito, el pico y la pala. Para finalizar con los personajes coloreé al papá de los topos, honestamente creo que quedó muy bien, me divertí coloreando la cara y el bigote.

Para finalizar el dibujo coloreé el suelo, le agregué algunas rocas, un poco más de iluminación y un poco de textura, esta textura la apliqué en una capa diferente usando como base la textura de una hoja normal, está la escaneé y la agregué al dibujo.

• Once I had the color study done I started to do the background. This illustration is very different from what I used to do, since the techniques I used this time are new to me. The background I usually give a lot of detail, but this time I decided to do something less highlighting, I usually use a crayon type brush for the whole drawing. But this time, as I wanted to do something more complementary, I used the basic Photoshop airbrushes. I'm not going to deny it, at first I saw the background a little weird, but little by little I got used to it haha.

• Once I had the background more or less done I started coloring the characters, first I started with the top one, using some simpler brushes that also come with the program installed. For coloring I did something simpler, normally I usually doodle all over the coloring, but during the whole process I was doing a very clean and detailed coloring.

• I was repeating all this coloring style during the whole drawing and little by little I was detailing each part. After coloring the first character I colored the other little mole, that was very funny because I did it with the apple from the original drawing. Then I colored the rocks, the gold minerals, the cart, the pickaxe and the shovel. To finish with the characters I colored the mole's dad, honestly I think it looked great, I had fun coloring the face and the mustache.

• To finish the drawing I colored the ground, I added some rocks, a little more lighting and some texture, this texture I applied it in a different layer using as a base the texture of a normal leaf, I scanned it and added it to the drawing.
