All you need to know about the Splinterlands Rebellion launch, leaked cards, new abilities and gameplay.

Heute fängt der General Sale der neuen Rebellion Packs an.

Rebellion ist mit 96 neuen Monstern ein ziemlich großes Kartenset, das sehr viele Neuerungen in Splinterlands bringen wird. So viele wie noch nie.

Zunächst gibt es 5 neue Low-Mana Dual Splinter Summoners, die ähnlich wie Dragon, Karten aus zwei vorgegebenen Elementen wählen lassen. Zum Beispiel Life und Earth.

Die größere Neuerung sind aber die Ability Choice Summoner, die es ermöglichen, nachdem der Gegner die Karten gelegt hat, eine von zwei möglichen Abilities zu wählen, abhängig vom Kartenset des Gegners.

Zum Beispiel +2 Speed oder Heal-Ability. Damit wird eine neue Interaktion im Spiel notwendig, wenn die Karten bereits aufgedeckt worden sind. Bin gespannt, wie diese neue Runde das Game verändern wird und ob es dann zu längeren Wartezeiten kommt und wie das in Tournaments gelöst wird, die bis jetzt asynchron gespielt werden konnten.

Und dann gibt es noch 4 neue exotische Abilities, die teilweise ein bisschen kompliziert zu erklären sind. Zum Beispiel Lookout: Benachbarte Monster bekommen 1 weniger Schaden mit Sneak, Snipe und Opportunity. Auch Ambush-Attacken werden halbiert, wenn diese Ability im Team aktiv ist.

Finde die Abilities werden langsam unübersichtlich, da es schon so viele gibt und sie immer komplizierter werden.

Und dann gibt es noch jede Menge neue Karten mit sehr guten Stats, aber das war zu erwarten. Das war bis jetzt auch immer so. Neue Kartensets werden zu einem Must-Have, entwerten ein bisschen die alten Karten, und kurbeln die Verkäufe an, was für das Ökosystem an sich gut ist. Ponzinomics.

Finde Rebellion design-mäßig übrigens sehr gelungen. Eines der schönsten Sets meiner Meinung nach.

The General Sale of the new Rebellion Packs starts today.

With 96 new monsters, Rebellion is a pretty big card set that will bring a lot of new features to Splinterlands. More than ever before.

First of all, there are 5 new low-mana Dual Splinter Summoners, which, like Dragon, let you choose cards from two predetermined elements. For example, Life and Earth.

The biggest innovation, however, are the Ability Choice Summoners, which allow you to choose one of two possible Abilities after the opponent has placed the cards, depending on the opponent's card set.

For example +2 Speed or Heal Ability. This requires a new interaction in the game if the cards have already been revealed. I'm curious to see how this new round will change the game and whether there will be longer waiting times and how this will be solved in tournaments that could previously be played asynchronously.

And then there are 4 new exotic abilities, some of which are a bit complicated to explain. For example Lookout: Neighboring monsters get 1 less damage with Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity. Ambush attacks are also halved if this ability is active in the team.

I think the abilities are slowly becoming confusing, as there are already so many and they're getting more and more complicated.

And then there are a lot of new cards with very good stats, but that was to be expected. It's always been like that so far. New card sets become a must-have, devalue the old cards a bit, and boost sales, which is good for the ecosystem after all. Ponzinomics.

By the way, I think Rebellion is very successful in terms of design. One of the most beautiful sets in my opinion.
