# A Web 3 Game That Look Like A Web 2 Game - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 87 Report Card

@vimukthi

We are getting very close to a whole new chapter of @splinterlands history. We have come a long way from the simple game from 2018 (which I have been playing since the launch day). So many parts of the game can do head to head with any modern Web 2 game that focus on Cards for its gameplay. Even Soulkeep was one of the best of its genre I have ever played. It would be great if we could see a revival of the Tower Defense part of the Splinterlands ecosystem.

Splintervibes is our latest addition that bring in Music NFT to the game. These are assets players can own (therefore trade) and augment their gameplay experience with. Music NFTs do not change the core mechanics of the game; yet function as an excellent resource sink for various in game resources.

Gameplay performance has not been in the best shape for a few Seasons. They are not bad either. Performance has been sideways much akin to the markets (which I prefer not to overthink). I have made by bets and I stick with them based on the fundamentals.

Glint season rewards will show in the season they are claimed.

As you can see, I am earning a decent amount of Rewards. Some time ago, I managed to calculate the approximate value of Glint. I tried to find the article, but the search ended up being futile. What I did find was this 6 year old article. It was nice to see how things were during the old times where prices and optimism was far higher. What we have now are better fundamentals.

It would be great to see SPS price go up by 15X when the next Card Set get released. I do the the valuation is fair considering the history, technology, art, lore and robust gameplay + economy that has been built over almost 8 years. There are many developers and community members working hard to make things even better.

The future looks bright as per the plans I hear. Some of these have been promised long before and others are whole new additions. Even the Guild system is set to be changed into a more engaging one. Player retention has been a challenge since forever. I have seen Spellbook purchases happening steadily while Daily Active User counts slightly declining.

Marketing and onboarding has been our greatest bottleneck IMHO and we don't have the massive budget that can easily promote the game to a wide audience to bring in the users. PeakMonsters Dashboard is where I have been tracking the statistics. Conversion rate for Spellbooks has been almost tripled from the bottom. There are 100+ players signing up on a daily basis. The trick to to figure out a way to get them to stick around for the long term and invest in the game economy.
