Splinterlands Art Contest! // Week 163 // Naga Warrior

avatar

Hello everyone, welcome to my post. This is my second time taking part in the weekly Art contest hosted by @Splinterlands.
(Contest link : https://hive.blog/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands-art-contest-week-163-10-booster-pack-prize)

background : @moonyoga | draw : The artwork I submitted to the challenge with some additional effects

The character I drew this time was Naga Warrior. The reason I chose her is because she is a Water element Monster (The previous monster too, and in the future I will use the Water element monster first), I also love female characters (as long as the head and body are human).

The materials needed are as usual, the application of Ibis Paint X and a finger as the brush.

From right to left: rough sketch (red one) and some lineart ; Lineart (unfinished); number of layers needed for rough sketch and Lineart

I still have a hard time when I have to draw hands (can be seen from the lines that are still messy on the hands). I also need a lot of layers so that if something goes wrong later, I only fix a small part of it.

As for the coloring, I just got into a bit of trouble. Like the color is not even when I use the paint bucket tool(image on the right), and it requires me to fill it manually using a small brush (sometimes I miss some parts, and those parts are only visible when I start to applying the effect)

These are some of the effects I tried on my drawing

Applying effects is a crucial time when I feel that my drawing is not yet good and perfect. In this section I don't have a fixed size when applying effects on the drawing, everything happens randomly (including the effect on the thumbnail drawing)

And this is the final result (that's all I can think of right now. But somehow the thumbnail of this post looks better)
