Let the magic attack come!

Hello everyone and welcome again!

This season I have started to try many new strategies for my games and one of them was the use of magic, and speaking of magic attack, this week is the turn of Magi of Chaos a very powerful card and that in Silver rank you can reel a game alone thanks to its powerful magic attack. Let's see how I did with it in this new Share Your Battle!

In case you don't know it...

Introducing MAGI OF CHAOS!

Edition: Chaos Legion.
Rarity: Epic.
Element: Neutral.
Attack: Magic.
Mana Cost: Six points.

Abilities:

  • Opress at lvl 5

An as the lore says:

The Magi of the Chaosium are the heralds of the Legion itself. For hundreds of years they met and studied in secret, gathering ancient artifacts and scraps of forbidden knowledge, much that was once thought lost. As the convergence grew close they plied the void for its treasures and listened furtively to the voices in the dark to make way for the coming of the Lord of Chaos. Once the way was opened and doom poured from the sky they rose from their hidden places to claim the promise of power from their dark masters.
“The void whispered to us in the dreams of children. The Magus was the first to realize their significance. Answers came slowly.

In bits and pieces he stitched the threads of their rambling screams to complete the work. It was only after the first successful transmutation that the veil began to tear and the void in the dark could reveal itself to us.

It was they that spoke to us in nightmares. It was they that answered our prayers, solving the riddle of the crypteia and opening the way for those beyond. They offered so much and asked for so little in return, a simple sacrifice of blood and bone and the power of chaos would be ours.”

-- Oleus Invodor, Children of Doom

How to use Magi of Chaos?

This is a card with magic attack that can support you as a tank in low mana but I don't recommend it so much in that form but as a support in the secondary line, to do a lot of damage with its great magic attack. When he has his ability he starts to be much more versatile because there are many games where players use cards that don't have attack as tanks, like Baakjira.

And for last, my battle!

Round 1.

Close Range; 46 Mana Cap.

  • Living Lava is a perfect tank for its ability, it can be combined very well with Disintegrator to become immune to damage in certain cases.

  • Disintegrator decreases the Melee attack and I place it second in case my tank falls, so it can fulfill the same function as its main task is to decrease the enemy attack so that my Living Lava receives less damage, combining Shield + Demoralize cancels the damage of cards with 1 attack.

  • Gargoya Devil has good attack and Fly ability, which allows it to dodge a lot, so it is excellent.

  • Lava Launcher is the same as Gargoya Devil but better. More attack, more health and more armor.

  • Magi of Chaos almost at the end so that its magic damage is destroying the enemy lineup.

  • Pyromancer for its blast, so it will damage not only the opponent's tank but also the cards that follow it.

Round 2.

In the first round no cards fell but the enemy Forgotten One was just one hit away from falling, and he was the biggest enemy threat so once he fell, the battle was headed in a positive direction for me. On the other hand my Living Lava still had 4 health and damage resistance, that's the importance of the Shield ability.

Round 3.

Round 3 started with card advantage for my opponent but that his Fineas Rage was just one hit away from falling and then the advantage would become mine because of the low amount of life his Serpentine Spy and Uraeus had, the opposite of my cards. Leaving the way free for my Magi of Chaos to take care of the last two cards and give me the victory. Thanks to his high HP, he holds up very well to the combined damage of Uraeus and Tenyii Striker, enough to make it to the end of the battle and even be the one to deal the last blow.

What was my experience with this card?

This is one of the cards that I almost do not use, not for lack of desire but for lack of opportunities, because in Silver there are not many battles in which this card is easily available due to its high mana cost. That's not why I say it's a bad card, on the contrary, it is very powerful and especially if you combine it with Obsidian that increases the attack, making it hit very hard from level 1. It is a card that is not extremely necessary but it is always good to have it.

Thank you very much for reading my post, I hope to see you in the next one, see you soon!
