Este personaje sí que llama mi atención. Ella es un desborde de rudeza y elegancia misteriosa, envuelta de habilidades para manejar el fuego. Como sabes, el fuego es uno de esos elementos que llama mi atención, mas aún si el personaje puede crearlos o sabe cómo conseguir el fuego. Este, es un elemento arrasador si no lo sabes manejar. Por eso, creo que los personajes relacionados al fuego deben estar preparados para usarlo con responsabilidad.
Hace unos días, vi un reportaje sobre las historietas en mi país, y los exponentes utilizaban desde tinta China (así le decimos aquí) hasta las tabletas gráficas. Por eso, quise hacer un dibujo similar, convirtiendo al protagonista en heroína.
This character really captures my attention. She is an overflow of rudeness and mysterious elegance, wrapped in skills to handle fire. As you know, fire is one of those elements that catches my attention, even more so if the character can create it or knows how to obtain it. This is a devastating element if you don't know how to handle it. That's why I believe that characters associated with fire must be prepared to use it responsibly.
A few days ago, I saw a report on comics in my country, and the artists used everything from Indian ink (as we call it here) to graphics tablets. That's why I wanted to make a similar drawing, turning the protagonist into a heroine.

Con lápiz en mano, inicié segmentando el espacio que utilizaría. Esta vez decidí hacer algo en el centro y evitar ir a los costados. Luego le cambié ligeramente la perspectiva, para ir a la parte del entintado. Comencé con el rostro, cabello y los aretes.
With pencil in hand, I began by segmenting the space I would use. This time, I decided to do something in the center and avoid going to the sides. Then I slightly changed the perspective to move on to the inking stage. I started with the face, hair, and earrings.
Al momento de ponerle tinta, algunas veces me pierdo un poco en el dibujo. Por eso, la primera capa la hago para que sea algo general y así tener una visión completa de las dimensiones del personaje. Además, si quiero hacer cambios notorios, esta sería la parte donde las hago. Esta vez no hice cambios y lo dejé así.
When I'm inking, I sometimes get a little lost in the drawing. So, I make the first layer to be something general, so I can get a complete view of the character's dimensions. Also, if I want to make noticeable changes, this would be the part where I make them. This time I didn't make any changes and left it as it was.
En esta parte, tenía bastante curiosidad por saber qué fondo tendría el personaje. Estaba entre un bosque incendiándose o una cueva oscura y tenebrosa, llena de enormes rocas ígneas y en el fondo la lava volcánica.
In this part, I was quite curious to know what the character's background would be. I was between a burning forest and a dark and scary cave, full of huge igneous rocks and volcanic lava at the bottom.
Llegó el momento del delineado y las sombras. A veces me enfoco tanto en el personaje que dejo para el último el fondo. Cuando hago esto, siento que se me va la idea inicial de lo que quiero que exprese el fondo. Si bien no es algo detallado, quiero que no se pierda la idea.
It's time for eyeliner and eyeshadow. Sometimes I focus so much on the character that I leave the background until last. When I do this, I feel like I lose sight of my initial idea of what I want the background to express. Although it is not detailed, I want you to keep the idea in mind.
Countess Sinash hace su aparición, es decir es el momento de ponerle tinta. Amé su peinado, por eso tenía que resaltarlos junto a sus ojos y aretes. Le coloqué una cejas tranquilas y con una expresión de seguridad en sus manos.
Countess Sinash makes her appearance, which means it's time to ink her. I loved her hairstyle, so I had to highlight it along with her eyes and earrings. I gave her calm eyebrows and with a look of confidence in their hands.
Algo que me llamó la atención mientras hacía el boceto fue la capa. Eso indica que es una persona de élite y con una amplia experiencia en el dominio del fuego. En cuanto a la vestimenta del personaje, para diferenciar las telas utilicé distintas texturas. Así como para los accesorios: aretes, cinturones, guantes y botas.
Something that caught my attention while I was sketching was the cape. That indicates that he is an elite individual with extensive experience in the mastery of fire. As for the character's clothing, I used different textures to differentiate the textiles. This also applies to accessories: earrings, belts, gloves, and boots.
En cuanto al paisaje, las enormes rocas de la entrada tenían que ser diferentes y únicas. Además de plasmar información valiosa. Esta vez, en una de las piedras quise que se notara como una especie de Petroglifos, indicando el contenido celular, como: las organelas libres como los Ribosomas, la estructura de la pared de las células vegetales, los cromosomas en etapa de Anafase, telofase y metafase; las células empalizadas, la energía celular en forma de ATP (Adenosin trifosfato), los fosfolípidos, la membrana celular y mas organelas libre.
As for the landscape, the huge rocks at the entrance had to be different and unique. It also contains valuable information. This time, I wanted one of the stones to look like a kind of petroglyph, indicating cellular content, such as: free organelles such as ribosomes, the structure of plant cell walls, chromosomes in the anaphase, telophase, and metaphase stages; palisade cells, cellular energy in the form of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), phospholipids, the cell membrane, and other free organelles.
La otra piedra, muestra parte de la cosmovisión Andina, como: Las estrellas, los Apus (cerros sagrados), los Mollus o caracolas, los ojos que indica la habilidad de la visión, entre otros. Antes de finalizar el dibujo, agregué sombras a su cabello, cinturón y la capa. Me encantó hacer este dibujo, mas aún lo que representa. Si bien, el arte es una forma de expresión, por lo general dibujo lo ya conocido, combinándolos y creando algo único sin perder su esencia. Esta vez, la tinta me ayudó a darle ese toque de caricatura y elegancia, creo. Algo me dice que existe este lugar y con las piedras talladas indicando lo macro y micro de la vida en la Tierra o Pacha mama.
The other stone shows part of the Andean worldview, such as: the stars, the Apus (sacred mountains), the Mollus or conch shells, the eyes that indicate the ability to see, among others. Before finishing the drawing, I added shadows to her hair, belt, and cape. I loved making this drawing, but even more so what it represents. Although art is a form of expression, I usually draw what I already know, combining them and creating something unique without losing their essence. This time, the ink helped me give it that touch of caricature and elegance, I think. Something tells me that this place really exists, with carved stones indicating the macro and micro aspects of life on Earth, or Pacha Mama.
