5th September 2022. Gold League has been highly challenging; the lack of Gold levelled cards and a lack of experience in this league are the main reasons.

But once in a while, I pray and a favourable outcome surprises me despite overwhelming odds.

The Battle formation

I was forced to use a level 1 Obsidian because I rented out my level 2 Obsidian.

I figured since I am going to lose if I'm forced to use an Earth Splinter, I might as well earn some DEC renting her out.

And voilà, only the Earth Splinter is available here.

The saving grace here is the Back to Basics ruleset; since my cards will have lesser abilities, having no abilities across the board evens out the playing field.

From here, all I could do was line up tanks in front and DPS at the back.

Luck and positioning definitely played a big part here, and I'm glad that it turned out the way it did :)
