Just woke up and logged on to Splintertalk. Another huge announcement dropped on us.

Splinterlands is going all out to flood us with good news.

There are a ton of details in their article here, and here are some of the cool stuff:

• DEC and Vouchers will be used to purchase packs in the new tower defense game.

• Each pack cost $8

• DEC will be treated as 1000=$1

• Vouchers will be giving a $3 discount each.

• Presale of 250,000 packs will begin on 20th September.

• ECR in the tower defense game will be tied to cards instead of your account.

Initial Thoughts

The last bit is especially important, because it means that we can potentially spend the whole day playing if we have a ton of cards.

At $8 a pack though, it feels like a game for mega-whales. I'm struggling to even buy the $4 Chaos Legion packs right now.

The good news for smaller players like me is that DEC and Vouchers will probably go up in price soon.

Hopefully I get some free cards to try out the tower defense game as an asset owner in Splinterlands.
