Jared Scar -The cheapest life legendary card that is mandatory in many rulesets (Gold league and above)
Jared Scar is a card that can be defined in one word: surprising.
First, because is surprisingly one of the cheapest legendary cards available. It can be maxed out for under 20 bucks (May 2023).
Second, it can surprise your opponent in low mana battles. It's a common strategy to put weaker or lower health cards in the first position, letting your strongest cards attack from behind. But with Aim True, Bloodlust, and piercing at the gold level, weaker cards won't stand a chance against Jared's power. At each kill, the monster becomes even more powerful.
Third, it's almost mandatory in every battle with one of these rulesets, starting from gold level: Melee Mayhem, Super Sneak, and Equal Opportunity.
On my way to climb gold and diamond leagues, I was surprised many times by a Jared Scar annihilating my team. The trauma was so great that today when facing any of the rulesets above, I always choose Life Splinter if possible.
Jared is slow? Yes, it is. But it will never miss because of aim true. Using Ilthain or Lux Vega as summoners, and combining Jared with cards that give more speed as Supply Runner, Adelade BrightWing, Clockwork Aide and Soul Fiend, this card can hurt so much even in the early stages of the battle, however, I prefer to use it when my other cards have done enough damage. Jared is most effective when used as a mercy shot.
Using Chaos Knight with Jared Scar will make it even more powerful, making it a one-hit kill against most cards.
Jared is also very effective against teams assembled to attack your backline (Ex: Uraeus + Stitch Leech. If you build your team around Jared, it will become a "Kaiju" (Pacific Rim) and decimate your opponent. See this example:

At the end of the match, Jared could one hit kill a Baakjira!!!
Martyr ability can make Jared even more powerful, even in rulesets commonly not adequate for it, like earthquake:

Jared is meta in gold league and above. A must have card and a cheap opportunity.
