The Queen of the Queens

There is another queen in splinterlands: Queen Mycelia. But this new one is the Queen of Queens.

Hailing from the Death Splinter, the Queen of Crows is a fearsome character with Close Range, Slow, Headwinds, and Return Fire abilities. Mastering the usage of these abilities is key to effectively leveraging this card's potential in your matches.

Card Overview

The Queen of Crows is a rare, ranged-attack card that boasts several unique abilities which unlock progressively as the card levels up. Understanding these abilities and the best situations to use them can make this card a potent weapon in your Splinterlands arsenal.

Key Abilities

ability_closerange75.pngClose Range - This inherent ability allows the Queen of Crows to engage in close combat, making her a versatile card that can deal damage even when positioned in the front row.

ability_headwinds75.pngHeadwinds - Introduced at level 3, Headwinds reduce the ranged attack damage of all enemy monsters, making the Queen of Crows an excellent choice when up against opponents reliant on ranged attackers.

ability_slow.pngSlow - Unlocked at level 5, Slow reduces the speed of all enemy monsters, thus influencing the order of attacks and potentially giving your team an advantage in combat.

ability_returnfire 75x75.pngReturn Fire - Unlocked at level 7, this potent ability allows the Queen of Crows to return fire with a full-strength attack whenever she's hit by a ranged attack, making her a significant threat to opposing ranged attackers.

Strategic Usage

The Queen of Crows' Close Range ability means she can be used in various tactical situations. Unlike most ranged attackers, she can still deal damage when placed in the front row, adding a layer of flexibility to your line-up strategy.

Slow, as an ability, works well when facing opponents with high-speed monsters. By reducing their speed, you can influence the order of attacks, potentially allowing your cards to strike first and eliminate threats before they can retaliate.

The Headwinds ability can be a game-changer against decks that lean heavily on ranged damage. By reducing the ranged attack of enemy monsters, you can significantly lower the damage your team takes each round.

Lastly, Return Fire provides a powerful deterrent against enemy ranged attacks. With this ability, any attempt to damage the Queen of Crows from a distance will result in immediate retaliation, punishing foes for targeting her.

Though it has use in every rule other than reverse speed, this card shines in the "Going to Distance Ruleset" going distance 75x75.png. The inherent close-range ability plus the return fire make this card mandatory.

Combined with Weirdiing Warrior 117x160.jpgWeirding Warrior's shatter and amplify and/or Soulstorm 120x160.jpgSoulstorm's headwinds, your opponent won't stand a chance. Even if he/she manages to kill the Queen, the backline will be so damaged by return fire, that it won't last much.

Conclusion

The Queen of Crows, with her unique abilities and tactical flexibility, is a strategic powerhouse in Splinterlands. Whether it's her ability to return fire or slow down enemies, she adds a considerable depth of strategy to the game. Like a shadowy harbinger of doom for your opponents, she brings an unmatched level of control and punishment to the battlefield.

Understanding and mastering her abilities can lead you to numerous victories, securing your reign in the world of Splinterlands.
