New SPS Governance Proposal: SPS Rewards for Guild Brawls

So we have a new SPS Governance proposal at our hands, with SPS governance proposal # 11 went live today. SPS governance proposal # 11 relates to adding SPS Rewards for Guild Brawls. With several months of work in the background and teasing about it, apparently the SPS Reward system for Guild Brawls is ready and needs the formal community approval before deployment.

Lets dive into the proposal and see what it offers to the brawlers:

• As per SPS governance proposal # 11, 2.5M SPS allocated for guild brawls in SPS whitepaper per monthwill be distributed among Brawlers. 2.5 M SPS per month(reducing @1% per month) will be distributed among brawling guilds based upon their tier and performance.
• TIER Wise Distribution: Higher tier brawling gets greater percentage of SPS allocated pool. Tier 1 brawl will get 10% of the SPS share with 5% increase per tier increment, and Tier 5 brawls will receive 30% share.
• Brawl Wise Distribution: SPS rewards per brawls will be SPS per Tier per Brawl Cycle divided equally by the number of individual Brawls in each Tier for any given Cycle.
• Guild Wise Distribution: Now, SPS share per brawl for participating guilds will be proportional to the point of the guild vs total pts for that particular Brawl. The greater number of battle points earned by a guild in brawl, the greater will be SPS share.
• Brawler/Guild Member Wise Distribution: SPS awarded to a guild per brawl will be divided by number of frays in that brawl to determine individual share. Brawl participants will be eligible for equal 100% share of SPS earned by their guild only if they submit atleast 75% of battles in that particular brawl. For anything below 75% submission, there will a SPS award penalty for that particular individual.

• The above system will encourage guild to move up the Tier to be eligible for greater SPS rewards, but things are caped to avoid manipulation. For any Tier if the number of participating guilds is below 10, the SPS distribution share in that Tier for that Brawl will be reduced proportionally. e.g. for 4 participating guilds in a tier, SPS distribution will be reduced to 40% of the allocation.

• Any undistributed SPS will be sent to DAO and its fate will be decided via future voting.

Status of the Proposal

As of now voting on the proposal is live, with 88% of the votes in favor of it so far. By the looks of it, this proposal is going to get approved easily and soon we are going to have Brawling SPS rewards.

Implications

In my personal opinion this proposals is awesome, as it will encourage more and more players to up their game and join guilds.
Moreover guilds will also be encouraged to upgrade and move up in higher tiers seeking greater SPS rewards allocation. This will certainly make brawling even more competitive and exciting. Un till now people were brawling only for Merit rewards but with SPS rewards getting added they are going to take brawling more seriously.
All of this is going to result in a more thriving guild based ecosystem.

My Standing

I belong to the Neoxian guild, the seventh overall ranking guild and second brawl ranking guild. Looking at these stats it is clear that we take our brawling pretty seriously. So naturally, I have already voted in favor the proposal. As far as Tier is concerned, I would like to leave that decision to the better judgment of guild leader, @neoxian.
