Arachne Thug - Splinterlands Art Contest 250

Saludos amigos!

Espero se encuentren de maravilla, yo me siento muy contenta de presentar una semana mas mi entrada al Concurso de Splinterlands la semana pasada fue grandiosa y aun no puedo de la emoción de haber obtenido el tercer lugar, el día de hoy presento otro de los personajes cuyo diseño me cautivo desde el primer momento, según la mitología griega este ser solía ser una tejedora muy engreída quien alardeó ser mejor que Atenea en las artes manuales, al final del cuento esta termina convertida en una araña.

I hope you are feeling great, I am very happy to present one more week my entry to the Splinterlands Contest last week was great and I still can't get over the emotion of having obtained the third place, today I present another of the characters whose design captivated me from the first moment, according to the Greek mythology this being used to be a very conceited weaver who boasted to be better than Athena in the manual arts, at the end of the story this one ends turned into a spider.

Esta vez, me quise alejar un poco de la concepción malévola tanto en la mitología griega como de la biografía del personaje en Splinterlands, Aracne Asesina; este ser a pesar de ser proveniente de las terribles Aracnes, tiene nobleza y esta determinada a encontrar el amor, paseando un día por el bosque encontró a un caballero moribundo, lo auxilio y ayudo a recuperarse, este en consecuencia correspondió a su acto bondadoso, le regalo una flor y confiesa su amor

This time, I wanted to move away a little from the malevolent conception both in Greek mythology and the biography of the character in SplinterlandsArachne Thug; this being despite being from the terrible Arachnes, has nobility and is determined to find love, walking one day in the forest found a dying knight, helped him and helped him to recover, this consequently reciprocated his kind act, gave him a flower and confesses his love.

Unos minutos mas tarde el se aleja le pide esperarlo, al volver empuña una espada y tiene varios arqueros apuntando a la sorprendida Arachne, en este momento todo cambia para siempre y termina asesinando a todos los soldados, cierra su corazón y se convierte en el ser que su especie le impone.

A few minutes later he goes away and asks her to wait for him, when he returns he wields a sword and has several archers aiming at the surprised Arachne, at this moment everything changes forever and he ends up killing all the soldiers, he closes his heart and becomes the being that his species imposes on him.

Basado en este pequeño relato que imagine en mi cabeza dibuje a este personaje, su rostro al principio revelaba mas desengaño, pero algunas fallas me hicieron cambiarlo.

Based on this little story that I imagined in my head I drew this character, his face at first revealed more disappointment, but some flaws made me change it.

La verdad fue un reto para mi, me sentí algo mal por un personaje ficticio que tiene que aceptar el estigma de su especie, tildándola de malvada... entonce quise hacer un rostro mas bello pero en este punto no lo lograba así que decidí borrarlo por completo y enfocarme en pintar el resto del cuerpo, es la segunda vez que dibujo un personaje casi de cuerpo completo, aunque este presentaba la complejidad de todas sus patas.

The truth was a challenge for me, I felt a bit bad for a fictitious character that has to accept the stigma of her species, branding her as evil... so I wanted to make a more beautiful face but at this point I could not achieve it so I decided to erase it completely and focus on painting the rest of the body, it is the second time I draw a character almost full body, although this one presented the complexity of all her legs.

Cuando estuve contenta con el cuerpo comencé a dibujar nuevamente su cabeza, con todos sus ojos en la frente con largas lagrimas negras en dos de ellos, esta vez decidí cambiar su cabello por una melena muy lacia y larga, pero usando los mismos tonos que el cabello inicial.

When I was happy with the body I started to draw her head again, with all her eyes in the forehead with long black tears in two of them, this time I decided to change her hair for a very straight and long mane, but using the same tones as the initial hair.

Este es entonces el resultado de mi ilustración de Aracne, justo en el momento de la emboscada sosteniendo aun la pequeña flor entre sus dedos antes de la masacre como relate al principio de este post; es bella como quería mostrarla, pero sin dejar de tener un aspecto aterrador
