Jicarilla de Rime - Splinterlands Art contest 372

Hola de nuevo queridos amigos de la comunidad! Espero se encuentren muy bien, yo tuve algunos días en casa junto con mi familia, pero he vuelto para para participar una vez más del concurso de Arte de Splinterlands, en esta ocasión he elegido Jicarilla de Rime para dibujar esta semana, a continuación les mostraré un poco del proceso y les contare del Lore de este personaje, espero sea de su agrado.

Hello again, dear friends of the community! I hope you are all doing well. I spent a few days at home with my family, but I'm back to participate once again in the Splinterlands Art Contest. This time, I've chosen Jicarilla de Rime to draw this week. Below, I'll show you a little bit of the process and tell you about this character's lore. I hope you like it.

Jicarilla es una prodigiosa usuaria de la magia de agua, del reino de Khymia, quien abandono la orden de los escudos de plata para dedicarse a los estudios de conocimiento prohibidos, Actualmente forma parte del Cónclave arcana, donde lidera la búsqueda en el Salvaje Noreste, en búsqueda de los secretos de Praetoria, arrasando a su paso con quien se oponga en su incansable búsqueda.

En muchas oportunidades me he interesado por esta carta y había hecho un par de bocetos, pero no tenían un buen termino, esta vez tomé referencias de fotografías e hice un par de bocetos y luego comencé a caracterizarla como el personaje, me gusto el resultado del dibujo, con toda la indumentaria de la bella Jicarilla así que seguí adelante, lo siguiente fue añadir la base de color para el cual tome referencia del arte original de Splinterlands.

Jicarilla is a prodigious user of water magic from the kingdom of Khymia, who abandoned the Order of the Silver Shields to devote herself to the study of forbidden knowledge. She is currently part of the Arcane Conclave, where she leads the search in the Wild Northeast for the secrets of Praetoria, destroying anyone who stands in her way in her tireless quest.

I have been interested in this card on many occasions and had made a couple of sketches, but they didn't turn out well. This time, I took references from photographs and made a couple of sketches, and then I began to characterize her as the character. I liked the result of the drawing, with all the beautiful Jicarilla's clothing, so I went ahead. The next step was to add the base color, for which I took reference from the original Splinterlands art.

Luego procedí con el coloreado, lo que tenía en mente desde el primer momento era dibujarla un poco a contraluz o que su rostro estuviera en sombras debido a la ala ancha de su sombrero, así que lo primero que hice fue definir las zonas de sombras, pero no elegí el tono que quería en primer lugar y termine cambiándolo por uno más opaco y agrisado.
Lo mismo para el resto de tonos, para el cabello use un gris con más presencia de negro, igualmente en el resto de su atuendo elegí tonos más oscuros y opacos para hacer las sombras.
Para la luz elegí tono bastante claro, con un tono más cercando al blanco que al amarillo, y solo delinee en alguna áreas en la que apenas toca la luz directa del fondo.

Then I proceeded with the coloring. From the outset, I had in mind to draw her slightly backlit or with her face in shadow due to the wide brim of her hat, so the first thing I did was define the shadow areas, but I didn't choose the shade I wanted at first and ended up changing it to a more opaque, grayish one.
I did the same for the rest of the tones. For her hair, I used a gray with more black in it, and for the rest of her outfit, I chose darker, more opaque tones to create the shadows.
For the light, I chose a fairly light tone, closer to white than yellow, and only outlined some areas where the direct light from the background barely touches.

Para el fondo elegí algo bastan sencillo, una montañas irregulares al fondo, con un par de árboles y otros dos más cerca de la protagonista, mientras que ella se encuentra entre unos matorrales abriéndose paso entre los bosques para encontrar todos los misterios de Praetoria y te extiende la mano para que la acompañes en su travesía

For the background, I chose something quite simple: rugged mountains in the distance, with a couple of trees and two more closer to the protagonist, who is standing among some bushes, making her way through the woods to discover all the mysteries of Praetoria and reaching out her hand to invite you to accompany her on her journey.

Y bueno si más que agregar esta ha sido mi participación de esta semana del concurso de Arte de Splinterlands.
