Una de las cosas que más me emocionan de Splinterlands, es el sentido de competencia, esa rivalidad entre clanes y entre usuarios por ver quién es el mejor en la batalla.

Y en lo personal tengo a dos personas que son mis compañeros de batallas ocasionales, los cuales siempre les he tenido respeto y admiración por lo que hacen, pues en realidad son muy buenos jugadores, uno de ellos es el gran amigo @bulkathos, y también @cpol, y este último que he mencionado es el protagonista de este post.

Ponte cómodo que acá inicio con una batalla muy interesante que de verdad no te puedes perder...

Reglas de batalla.

Primero hablemos un poco de las reglas que se aplicaron en esta batalla.

Tengo que decir que fue algo un poco contradictorio, y eso le agrega mas complejidad a todo el tema de la elección de carta.

UP CLOSE & PERSONAL: Esta es una regla que nos limita solo a usar monstruos de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, para muchos esto es una ventaja, pues en elementos como el Splinter de Fuego, tenemos cartas muy buenas para usar, pero también tenemos que enfocarnos en bajar el poder de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo del rival y así intentar tener la ventaja, o hacer uso de cartas con una buena cantidad de armadura.

FOG OF WAR: Esta regla de batalla es muy simple de entender, pues todos los monstruos con habilidades de Sneak y Snipe, pierden dichas habilidades, entonces de nada sirve hacer uso de cartas con estas habilidades, sabiendo que al momento de la batalla quedaran como una carta común y sin ningún tipo de habilidad especial.

BRIAR PATCH: Esta regla de batalla aplica la habilidad Espinas a todos los monstruos, y recuerden que la habilidad espinas afecta a los monstruos con ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, y para evitarlo tenemos que hacer uso de cartas con ataques como magia o a distasia.

Battle rules.

First let's talk a little bit about the rules that applied in this battle.

I have to say that it was a bit contradictory, and that adds more complexity to the whole issue of card selection.

UP CLOSE & PERSONAL: This is a rule that limits us only to use melee attack monsters, for many this is an advantage, because in elements such as the Fire Splinter, we have very good cards to use, but we also have to focus on lowering the melee attack power of the opponent and thus try to have the advantage, or make use of cards with a good amount of armor.

FOG OF WAR: This battle rule is very simple to understand, because all monsters with Sneak and Snipe abilities lose those abilities, so it is useless to use cards with these abilities, knowing that at the time of the battle they will remain as a common card and without any special ability.

BRIAR PATCH: This battle rule applies the Thorns ability to all monsters, and remember that the Thorns ability affects monsters with melee attack, and to avoid it we have to make use of cards with attacks like Magic or Dystasia.

Es acá donde entra la confusión, pues en la primera regla mencionada podemos ver que no se permite el uso de cartas que no sean de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, entonces el efecto negativo al momento de golpear las cartas de mi oponente será algo que no puedo evitar, ya que las espinas me hacen dañó en cada ataque, al igual que le hace daño a mi rival en cada ataque proporcionado.

This is where the confusion comes in, because in the first rule mentioned above we can see that the use of cards that are not melee attack cards is not allowed, then the negative effect when hitting my opponent's cards will be something I can not avoid, since the thorns damage me in each attack, just as they damage my opponent in each attack provided.

Composición de mazo.

Es acá donde entra el razonamiento rápido, pues tenemos que buscar la forma de evitar un gran daño causado por las espinas, si mi monstruo con +4 de ataque a cuerpo, golpea una de las cartas de mi rival, él estará recibiendo un daño de +4, pero yo también me estaré viendo afectado por un daño de +2 todo a causa de las espinas aplicadas en esta batalla.

Pero intente usar una buena combinación que acá te la muestro...

Deck composition.

This is where the quick reasoning comes in, because we have to find a way to avoid a great damage caused by the thorns, if my monster with +4 melee attack, hits one of my opponent's cards, he will be receiving a +4 damage, but I will also be affected by a +2 damage all because of the thorns applied in this battle.

But I tried to use a good combination that I will show you here...

Arkemis the Bear es la carta que estoy usando como tanque para esta batalla, y es lógico el motivo por el cual la he usado, en primer lugar tiene una buena cantidad de vida, así como también tiene un poco de armadura, la cual es vital para la batalla de hoy.

Otro punto a favor de esta carta Promo, es que cuenta con la habilidad PROTECT, así que esta carta brindara +2 de armadura extra a todos mis monstruos en batalla.

Arkemis the Bear is the card I am using as a tank for this battle, and it is logical why I have used it, first of all it has a good amount of life, as well as some armor, which is vital for today's battle.

Another point in favor of this Promo card, is that it has the PROTECT ability, so this card will give +2 extra armor to all my monsters in battle.

Pirate of Eight es la carta en segunda posición, y forma parte de la nueva edición Rebellion, esta carta está acá específicamente por su habilidad Reach, la cual le permite atacar desde la segunda posición, además de eso también causara un daño doble gracias a su habilidad Blast.

Esta carta no tiene muy buenas estadísticas de vida, ni mucha menos armadura, o poder de ataque, pero con el Blast de verdad que fue de mucho apoyo.

Pirate of Eight is the card in second position, and is part of the new Rebellion edition, this card is here specifically for its Reach ability, which allows it to attack from second position, besides that it will also cause double damage thanks to its Blast ability.

This card doesn't have very good health stats, much less armor, or attack power, but with the Blast it really helped a lot.

Legionnaire Alvar es la carta en tercera posición, la cual desde acá no está dando ningún tipo de ataque o habilidad extra, pero la uso, ya que es una carta con una buena cantidad de armadura como lo puedes ver en la imagen anterior.

Esta carta es neutral, así que puede ser usada en combinación de todos los elementos, y tiene la habilidad Void Armor la cual en esta ocasión no cumple ninguna función útil.

Legionnaire Alvar is the card in third position, which from here is not giving any kind of attack or extra ability, but I use it, since it is a card with a good amount of armor as you can see in the previous image.

This card is neutral, so it can be used in combination of all elements, and it has the Void Armor ability which in this occasion does not fulfill any useful function.

Disintegrator es una carta que no podía faltar, pues tiene la habilidad Demoralize la cual reduce el poder de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo de todas las cartas de mi oponente, y esto acá era fundamental, pues de forma obligatoria él usaría cartas con un buen poder de ataque.

Además, también es una carta neutral, por lo que puede ser combinada con cualquiera de los Splinters.

Disintegrator is a card that could not be missed, because it has the Demoralize ability which reduces the melee attack power of all my opponent's cards, and this was essential here, because he would use cards with a good attack power.

Deeplurker es una gran carta de elemento agua, la cual tiene la habilidad Opportunity, y un poder de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo de +3 y una buena cantidad de vida de +6.

Esta carta es muy buena para ir acabando con las cartas que poseen una menor cantidad de vida.

Grimbardun Fighter es la última carta de la cual estoy haciendo uso, y tengo que admitir que al momento de hacer esta elección me equivoque al colocar esta carta en esta posición, pero también admito que he ganado la batalla gracias a ella.

Esta carta tiene la habilidad Shield, la cual reduce el daño por ataque cuerpo a cuerpo o a distancia, la he colocado en la última posición para intentar cubrir mis cartas de ataques con habilidad Sneak, pero luego de que la batalla termino, mi compañero @cpol me indico que había tenido un error, pues en realidad esa carta allí no estaría cubriendo ataques de los Sneak, pues en la regla de batalla decía que no se permitían dichas habilidades.

Pero fue muy interesante ver como esta última carta jugo un papel fundamental en la batalla que te mostraré más adelante.

Es importante destacar que con el pasar del tiempo, luego de haber escrito esto, las cartas mencionadas acá cambiaran su valor, puede que estén un poco más costosas, o un poco más económicas, pero de igual forma acá te dejo una lista de los precios de compra de dichas cartas.

Resultados de la batalla.

En la imagen puedes ver una captura general de mi equipo, y del equipo de mi amigo @cpol, como puedes ver él también ha usado una formación muy interesante y bien estructurada, en gran parte creo que lo que me dio más oportunidad de ganar acá fue la diferencia de armadura, pues Cpol no tenía mucha armadura en sus cartas.

Para la ronda 3 una gran parte de mis cartas habían muerto, pero quedo en primera posición la carta que había colocado como segundo tanque, y de verdad que fue una buena elección, pues la armadura que tenía ayudo mucho.

Cpol contaba con 5 cartas, mientras que yo solo tenía 4 cartas, y si sumamos el total de poder de ataque, yo tengo 7 puntos en total, mientras que mi rival tiene 8 puntos de poder en total, eso de verdad que hace la diferencia.

Si te fijas en las habilidades de la última carta de Cpol, puedes ver que su carta tiene la habilidad de curarse a si misma, eso fue un gran problema para mi.

Pero esa carta no podía hacerme daño alguno, ya que solo tiene +1 de poder de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, y ese +1 de poder no puede hacerme daño y que mi carta tiene la habilidad Shield.

Al final de todo yo he ganado, y mi carta ha quedado con solo 1 de vida, yo digo que fue pura suerte, Cpol dijo que fue algo bien pensado, pero de verdad que fue una batalla muy reñida, contra un oponente muy bueno al cual logre ganarle en esta batalla.
