My Actifit Report Card: November 4 2019

(Edited)

I haven’t made a post in a few days on here. It’s because I had back pain, so I didn’t do much activity-wise during the weekend.

I was feeling much better today with just a little bit of soreness. I had that kind of lower back pain that gets worse if you sit for a while and then try to stand. It’s as if my lower back was seized and I wasn’t able to stand up straight right away.

Today I got my steps mostly at work. I actually remembered to put my phone in my pocket while getting ready for work. I got an extra 500 or so steps just there.

I didn’t do as much walking today at work compared to my average. We are two operators running the same machine. While one is running on one end, the other sets something up on the other end. Today we were doing things that take longer, so we spent a lot of time just waiting for the machine to finish.

Anyway, that’s it for me for now.

Thanks for reading.

Until next time, have a good one!

I've started to do the "phone in my poocket" thing to instead of leaving it on the side. It's amazing how it adds up isn't it!

Yes it does add up. I get about 500 steps or so just from doing my morning routine: cooking breakfast, preparing my lunch for the day, et cetera.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!

maybe a bit less HIIT and a bit more yoga in your life could help?!

that lower back pain thing is horrible... and you'll want to take care of that before it gets worse over time... the "3rd world squat", I dodn't know if there's a more politically correct term for it... but that's what helped me with compression related problems in the lower spine... do that for a few minutes every day, if you're able to even reach that position, to give the tendons a good stretch!

I’m actually quite flexible. I can do the Asian squat very comfortably. I have been doing flexibility exercises since my early twenties because of this problem that happens with my lower back every once in a while. It usually hits me when I’m overtired or under a lot of stress. One thing that I do whenever it happens is to lie down on a tennis ball and move around to massage my muscles. It helps quite a bit.

hahaha... I have a tennis ball in my desk's drawer, too. I usually use it standing against the wall, though. My frequently problematic area is more in the upper back.

Asian squat

that sounds even worse... lol

I'm not very big on political correctness as you might've already guessed. :-D
