When cool becomes cold

My day today was really busy chasing up this and that, as I am sitting here thinking of this post and having a quiet moment I felt this show of the falls and rocks by the Duck Pond in Downtown Milford fitted my mood at the moment wanting to relax and chill a little.

This is a 13 second exposure to get the silky look to the water

NOw the shot I shared to start the ost has nothing to do with the title, I prepared the rest of the post on the train home this evening and then looked for a photo to add to start the post with

Now how i came up with the title was I posted last night about the new Pair of Vans shoes i brought yesterday an i still love the style and colors and they are very comfortable, I personally think they are pretty cool, but I found this morning they are also very cold, when I was waiting for the train at around 5Am he temp was a little under 32F ie freezing point and my feet were really feeling the cold, walking from Grand Central to the office my feet were still cold, so at lunchtime I as I had planned walked up to 5th Avenue to check out what Skechers had in stock and found these shoes

This shot of Themis of course not taken in the shop but as I was walking back to the office, there what I think is a new style called wash-a-wools, which I must say are nice and light very comfortable and even better nice and warm.

I was walking with a spring in my step with nice warm feet thinking life is Grand.

OK maybe i was not thinking those exact words, but when I saw this sign. I thought it fit my mood and this post.And to finish of this art piece called Voayage by Dan Daily beside the entrance to a building i walked by.

Gorgeous images. My daughter is into photography. I took a screenshot of your first image. I love the last image a lot too. Glass art and color have such appeal. Stay warm! And, i hope all the "i's are dotted and t's crossed" for you really soon.

Nice photos! The few times I have played with exposures they did not turn out too great. I am going to have to revisit that again maybe this summer.

Thanks for long exposures you really must have a tripod and a remote shutter helps a lot as well

I love the first shot - the waterfall looks great - 13 seconds and you still can see the silky motion of the falling water, and the water in front is smooth.

I would be quite !DERANGED if I didn't give you a !BEER and a !COFFEEA for this $trdo post 😉

I am using the ND filters much too seldom, because I shoot so early in the mornings, but photos like this one motivate me to use it once again.

An !ENGAGE 50 !BEER has to be cold and a !COFFEEA has to be hot to taste good and not !DERANGED 😉

I have to drive about 3-5 hours depending where I want to go, so I think I'll have to make a good timing and have a rather stressful day on the road or I could combine it with a little family trip.
But now we still have Winter and none of us thinks about vacation by the sea yet ... apart from me ;) lol

A !BEER has to be cold and a !COFFEEA has to be hot to taste good and not !DERANGED 😉
