Here's my 40th Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish. 🍕⚔️🛡️

It's the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Fray no.12✨🏅✨ for the 23rd week in a row for me.

Another great string of brawling results from the previous round bumped my win rate up a notch again 🥳. Although I've got a feeling that this winning streak is about to come to an end unfortunately 😉. Oh well, that's what life is- a series of ups and downs.

I've gotten another Gladius pack this time round again too. Which was a surprise, considering I just bought one last week. I think it might be considered "unlucky" because that means my daily chest rewards are providing me with lots of Merits instead of other rewards 😰.

Nothing special in this Gladius pack too. Sigh. Not a good sign of things to come.

As usual, I make an extra effort to rent ✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion✨ cards that align with my daily focus during Guild Brawl days.

Hopefully Lady Luck continues to shine on me 🍀🍀🍀 and I don't get too many weird ruleset combinations which will completely screw up my limited Gold Foil selection of cards. (🤣 yeah, that's how terrible I am, to have to rely on luck for my wins)

• Some thoughts I have about my exploits in the Gold Frays. 💭🤔

I feel like I'm winning because my opponent has even less Gold Foil cards available to him than I do. Personally, I find it slightly flattering to me. The teams I field are definitely not the absolute strongest, but more of what is available to me.

It also doesn't account for HOW I win some of the fights though. I've realised that a fair number of them are from opponents who just gave up and did not even face me in battle. ⚔️⚔️⚔️

My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that IN THE PAST, many Gold Frays were left empty. Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall. 🥇🥈🥉

I've joined the Pizza 2 Guild over at the PIZZA DISCORD and was introduced to the world of Guild Brawls in Splinterlands. It has been an interesting experience to say the least. 🎉🥳🎊
Guild Brawls are generally the same as Battles, but with some minor tweaks (of which I'll save for another day). Lets get right down to business as I analyze my brawls. 🧐⚔️🛡️

LOST.

It was a bad lineup that I selected. I should have trusted in my Gold Foil Gladius Bertrol Gobson as the opponent did. The Opportunity ability taking out the weaker units in my team gave the opponent a huge power boost. I was so focused about trying to survive the Earthquake that I was caught unawares when my opponent went for a high risk play. 😭

WON.

Well, I failed to put my trust in Bertrol Gobson and corrected it this time round, fielding him even in a reverse speed ruleset even if it does not favour his high speed. The result would seem like this was the right choice. However, he did almost absolutely nothing this battle 🤣, with his attacks either missing or hitting on the opponent's armour.

It was the Goblin Psychic who basically solo-ed the entire game. I could have just fielded him alone and the result would have been the same 🤣. His heal and dps output were simply too much for my opponent to handle.

LOST.

My entire team was decimated by the opponent's Deep Lurker. The ruleset restrictions of EVEN casting cost only units severely restricted my lineup.

Had I been able to afford a Gold Foil Queen Mycelia though, the results would have probably gone my way. Alas, that is quite out of reach for me at this point.

Perhaps switching my lineup from the Venari Knifer as a main tank to 3 other cannon fodder units might have proved to be a better choice too.

Not the best of results this time round with 1 WIN and 2 LOSSES. This was definitely pretty bad play from me this week. I did not feel like any of my opponents had cards that outclassed me, but I was simply out played.

I'll definitely have learnt from these few losses though.

I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.

PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 4th place! 🏆🏆🏆

I can't say I'm satisfied with this placing at all. Just 5/4/2 wins separated us from the 1st/2nd/3rd place. This would be fine normally, except that out of the 13 Frays we had available, only 11 were filled. It is always extra disappointing when we can't even get the numbers to join in to make any attempt at all. ☹️

Not to mention that I've not heard any communication from members who weren't able to make it. Perhaps some simple courtesy with a heads up would have allowed us to temporarily get someone to fill the spot, or maybe even someone with an alt could do it. 😡

Great Job from everyone who took part in the Guild Brawls! I'm proud of you all! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
