A full time income playing a game?

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Yesterday I was playing my 4 Splinterlands accounts as usually at the same time and I played one game with each of the accounts and I won them all. I looked at my earnings and saw that in 3 minutes I managed to earn close to 3$ worth of DEC.

Today I extended my experiment. I played my 4 accounts during 30 minutes and I wanted to see how much money I could generate like that. The result is quite amazing and I invite you to watch the video to see all the details.

Can everybody earn so much from the game?

No definitely not. Keep in mind that I have been playing this game for 3 years and that my accounts are all quite well developed with several thousands dollars worth of cards each. If you start in the game, you won't earn much to begin with but it was the same for me 3 years ago. The more I build my accounts, the more I started to earn.

Would you like to start playing the game?

There are quite a lot of people who ask me how to proceed to start to play Splinterlands. It's actually not that easy to understand the game and there is a learning curve. I have created a free online course that you can follow to make the first steps into the game before you start to invest anything.

Want to start to play? Join my referral program!

  • Join Splinterlands using this link, buy the Summoner Spellbook and I will send you 200 DEC tokens

  • Join Rising Star using this link, make 100 missions and I will send you 1000 Starbits

This action is only valid for people who actually are my referrals.

Let's connect ! You can find me on these platforms:

Well I don't believe that it will be like that for a very long time. Prices will eventually go down again but at the moment, I simply love it lol.

There is definitely money to be made at the game. Now we play as a family - I play with two accounts, my wife with one account, and her brother with another account. Everyone is happy and actively rocking their accounts. Not always get to keep the bar more than 5 usd a day, but we get SPS and have already saved up a decent amount :)

That's really amazing and I think when you play as a family you can send cards from one account to another to upgrade them in the most efficient way. With the earnings you can even invest in some chaos league packs or even wait for land expansion :-)

It is nice making about $1 every 2 wins on my main account right now. I agree, I don't think it will last forever - once Chaos Legion is out and the SPS air drop is ending, people will probably spent their DEC a lot more freely and drop the price.

I believe that SL team is spending a lot of thoughts on how to keep the value of the tokens high after the pre-sale, airdrop,... They don't divulge too much so that they can bring new surprises :-).

Wow that's cool. I only started playing 2 weeks ago. Should have started earlier but I guess better late than never. Hehe. My little regret was that I didn't find myself a referral at the start so there was no beneficiary for my spellbook purchase and I had to build my team from zero at the start without any referral rewards.

In the past people were willing to help you along if you became their referrals. Today however cards are so expensive that it's difficult to simply lend them out. It takes some time until you have a competitive set of cards and it also takes time until you understand the game well enough. The more you play, the better you will get :-)

Yeah that's true! Am making progress at my own pace. :)

Nice!!! Perhaps maybe you can even rent out one or two of your Deck for passive income, I’m sure there will be people willing to play and split the rewards with you

I'm actually renting out quite a lot of cards. I have the minimum cards unrented so that I can still play the accounts well. There are litterally dozens of ways to earn with the game :-)

That’s cool. Do you think that maybe your account could be worth much more or be more productive if all the cards you have split around was all in one place?

Honestly I don't think so because I would maybe have a bit a more powerful deck but it would still not be good enough to be in the top 50. Like that I have 4 accounts that are all quite competitive and I can earn not too badly.

I know that I can't live from my Splinterlands account as I play with only 1, but I suppose that players in the Champions leagues can do that even with just 1 account... You mentioned tournaments, rankings position, rewards cards, etc...

On the other side, living from crypto is possible and I can sign that from my personal experience... But, that's another topic... :)

Cheers!

I totally agree, since the start of SPS airdrop a guy like khazarak hasn't been seen doing any content creation. He probably makes enough just by playing the game. At the beginning I remember that he said he made around 3'000 USD per day just from SPS airdrop :-). I think for the top 50, things look pretty nice. And yes making a living from crypto seems more and more possible the more I advance on this journey as well :-)

@achim03 you are a machine! I don't think this would've been feasible last year this time, but doing splinterlands full-time by getting fully engaged in the ecosystem (playing, content creation (posts + video), DeFi (SPS), renting) is much more feasible now!

To be honest I think we are at a kind of peak in time where the income is maximal. I believe that this won't last, at least not at this level. But I'm happy to take while it lasts :-). When you combine all the income potential that the game offers and also content creation around it, things are really looking interesting at the moment.

I am very bullish in both SPS and DEC. With Land, I think DEC become more scarce and more pricey.

I think that the land expansion will bring a new dimension to it all making it more difficult to predict the evolution of the prices.

I sure woul love to earn that much.

To my daily quest!!!

Man it's one daily quest at a time and grinding those DEC until you can buy more cards, upgrade them, improve your deck and buy some packs. It takes a lot of time but with enough stamina one can get there :-).

Ah I didn't realize that more DEC is produced when DEC price is high. At some point, I think the price will drop back down to the peg in Splinterlands.

Since they took away the possibility to buy packs at a given DEC price, this might take longer but in the long run I also believe that the value of DEC will come down.

With DEC being above the peg, isn't it cheaper right now to just convert DEC into HIVE and use that to buy credits? I don't think anyone smart would use credits to pay.

That's actually what I'm doing. I'm taking all my DEC earnings and exchange them into Hive and HBD.

Yeah right now it's crazy, you can earn a decent amount of money just for winning your battles.
I don't even worry about the price of DEC going down anymore. I think the devs are working hard to keep the value of SPS up, so as long as people buy/earn and stake SPS they'll be rewarded.

I agree, however it's always a big challenge to keep the value of all assets stable in such a game. As long as people invest into the game it should be ok but I think the prices can come down quite swiftly as well.

That is a pretty awesome result, $40 an hour, this game is changing lives for sure!

It is definitely making a big difference already. I've never managed to earn so much per hour yet online and it's even better when I can do it having fun :-)

It's actually possible if you take it all into consideration....Mainly the SPS and Rental system.

That being said, you do need a healthy chunk of cards and assets in the game...But if you would have told me I'd be making a living off this game 6 months ago, I would have laughed lol

You definitely need some skin in the game to get an income with it. But man, I never even thought that this would even be remotely possible :-)

how do you play multiple accounts in the same time?
without log-out / log-in operation?

I'm playing in 4 different browsers actually. I jump from one to the next while waiting for oponents. If you want to see how it looks like, I made a video about my game play lol.

I'm making $270 per day from the SPS airdrops alone. This is incredible, and yes... would be enough to leave from it

Man the airdrop is totally amazing. When you combine all the income sources together SL is more than an interesting income source :-)

My dream would be to do that, but i still need more cards,

so we will see in the future :D

A couple of months I didn't believe this would possible. Now it's different, it seems it could be possible. So yes, we simply need more cards, be better in the game :-)

Playing four accounts at once, did you ever end up fighting yourself?

This happens from time to time but since I'm quite in a hurry to do my line ups I often don't realise it until the game is played :-)
