Card overview

I will be honest, Elven Cutthroat is not the first card, which comes in my mind, when putting a team together. Why is that? Because each splinter has their own low mana sneak card.

SplinterStealth alternativeStats (Mana/Attack/Speed/Shield/Health)
NeutralElven Cutthroat3/1/3/0/1 : for reference
FireKobold Miner2/1/2/0/2 : lower cost / higher health / - slower
WaterSabre Shark*3/1/3/0/2 : higher health
EarthGoblin Sorcerer3/1/2/0/2 : magic attack / higher health / - slower
HolyFeral Spirit3/1/4/0/2 : faster / higher health
DeathSkeleton Assassin3/1/4/0/2 : faster / higher health

*One of the current reward cards is Pelacor Bandit, which has the stats as Saber Shark and Flying!

Strategies

In which cases is it worth to play out this card? I think two characteristics have to be met:

  • A card provides additional attack power to Elven Cutthroat. In the start deck this can be Malfric Inferno or Silvershield Knight.
  • And the main strategy is on Stealth (more then 1 stealth card is used)
Now lets look at the fight!

Ruleset:
  • 30 Mana
  • Water Splinter can't be used
  • Broken Arrows - Monsters with Ranged Attacks can't be used.
Strategy:

As the strongest magic users were out of the game with the Water splinter band from participation I went with the Dragon Splinter and Djinn Chwala as my main tank supported by Twilight Basilisk and Wood Nymph. The basilisk was set worthless by Living Lava's shield unfortunately, but the Thorn ability of Djinn Chwala was a great choise.

I put Wood Nymph behind Goblin Sorcerer in case I would fight a Death Splinter with a Death Elemental.

I put Elven Cutthroat at the last position as a meat shield against stealth attacks and to protect the Enchanted Pixie.

Fight:

At the end in the second round Elven Cutthroat killed the Serpentine Spy before it could attack again. I was very happy about that, as it saved me one character till the end of the fight.
The Djinn Chwala combination with the Wood Nymph was the strong backbone of my strategy, and the extra magic attacks were extremely useful against Living Lava.
I see the utility of the Djinn Chwala, Wood Nymph and Delwyn Dragonscale, and I think they are worth to be bought/rented out.

The fight might have had a different ending, it the enemy used a different card instead of the Giant Roc, maybe even protecting the backlines with a Cerberus.

That's all folks, I will post another Challenge with Elven Cutthroat, I hope I will be able to utilize her a bit more next time :)
