And what a great feeling it was to help my team secure a valuable victory!
Here, I'll walk you through the details of how this exciting match unfolded, step by step, just as it was captured in my screenshots.
Strategy and Preparation: The Importance of Vitality in the Face of Deadly Rules
When the selection screen opened, the first thing I did was carefully study the three battle conditions the system imposed on us. With a generous 47 Mana, the stage was set for a clash of titans, but the rules of the game were truly treacherous. This is where I decided that sheer vitality would be my only salvation:
Global Warming:
What does it do? All units start with the “Burn” effect, losing 2 health points at the start of each round, with a chance to spread.
My analysis: With constant fire devouring my monsters every turn, low-health cards were doomed to die on their own, without the enemy even having to touch them. I needed a deck with a massive health reserve to withstand the scenario’s attrition.
Super Sneak:
What does it do? All monsters with melee attacks gain the Sneak ability (they target the enemy unit in the last position).
My analysis: This meant my rear guard was going to take a massive beating from behind. It wasn’t enough to have a strong tank up front; absolutely my entire team, from start to finish, needed to have enviable health to avoid being destroyed in the early turns.
Return Fire:
What does it do? All units reflect 50% of the ranged damage they take back to their attacker.
My analysis: Although I decided to bring the elusive Luckiest Longshot and the powerful War Chaang for their ranged damage to weaken the enemy, I knew that when they attacked, they would take damage in return due to this rule. For them to survive their own power, it was vital that they have a health bar large enough to withstand that constant self-damage.
Faced with such a hostile scenario, I let my instincts guide me and sought out cards with colossal durability. Best of all, while I was obsessively focused on my monsters’ health to counter the return fire and backstabs, I didn’t realize that the resulting team also had tremendous offensive power! I loved the synergy I achieved.
The Summoner: Dolfar Darflak
For this battle, my leader was Dolfar Darflak. This summoner from the Rebellion set is fantastic because, for just 3 mana, he gave me the flexibility to combine Fire and Death forces. This allowed me to build an extremely versatile team, leveraging the best of both elements to adapt to the arena’s harsh rules.
The Formation: A sturdy front line and a midline packed with health to absorb burn damage round after round.
The Clash in the Arena: Round by Round
The battle was a real back-and-forth. From the very first second of Round 1, the speed and placement of my cards began to pay off.
Although @mornix came in with an aggressive strategy, my team’s tremendous resilience set the tone. While “Global Warming” and enemy attacks wore down the opposing ranks due to their lower overall health, my lineup withstood the punishment thanks to the high vitality points I’d equipped them with.
Our offensive—backed by Luckiest Longshot’s precise shots, War Chaang’s double attack, and the brute strength of my warriors in close combat—began to mercilessly decimate the enemy ranks. Watching their monsters fall one by one while my line held firm, withstanding both the arena’s burns and the counter damage, was a true tactical delight. The extreme survival strategy worked perfectly!
Victory for THE POWER!
Finally, the screen lit up with that glorious green banner we all love to see: VICTORY!
We managed to secure the points for EL PODER, proving that understanding the rules of the battlefield and prioritizing the right health for each scenario is the key to dismantling any strategy. I’m leaving extremely satisfied with this deck’s performance; it’s definitely a lesson in survival that I’ll keep in mind for future tournament matches and guild battles.

Cuando se abrió la pantalla de selección, lo primero que hice fue estudiar detenidamente las tres condiciones de batalla que el sistema nos imponía. Con unos generosos 47 de maná, todo estaba listo para un choque de titanes, pero las reglas del juego eran realmente traicioneras. Fue entonces cuando decidí que la pura vitalidad sería mi única salvación.
Calentamiento global:
¿Qué efectos tiene? Todas las unidades comienzan con el efecto "Quemadura", perdiendo 2 puntos de salud al inicio de cada ronda, con posibilidad de propagación.
