So, ah, loving the new SPS rewards for staking. I haven't managed to get out of Gold yet (competition is tough) but I'm still getting about 2 SPS per win, which is obviously pretty nice.
Anyway, I'm here to talk about the distant memory that was last season...

I played slightly less games than usual, I tend to hit around 250ish games a season, but this season clocked in just under 200. I got higher in Modern than has been usual lately, so that's great, but not quite as high in Wild - which was always my main arena for ages and ages.

So less games but a lot more cards (due to the higher ranking in Modern). In Season 25 I got 109 and 2 cards.... so a nice little increase here despite having 40ish less wins.
Definitely can chalk this up to starting higher on the season reset... so less grind at the lower levels.

Rentals are definitely down... part of it is I keep not noticing when cards drop out of the rental market (when they haven't been rented in 30 days) but I think general user activity is down too, so that's never going to help. When Land 1.5 drops I will be pulling a bunch of rentals off the market (as I'm sure many others will too).

I have to admit that I've been a bit worried about big players leaving the game, without them necessarily being replaced by lots of newer players, but hearing that the Splinterlands Inc team has a runway of about 18 months (if they don't sell any further products, obviously Rebellion would change this) then I'm feeling really excited about the future of this game, and just, cannot wait to see how Land 1.5 shakes things up... both the economy and the game itself.

the Splinterlands team has a strong track record of innovation. They have consistently been able to come up with new features and gameplay elements that have kept the game fresh and exciting. I have no doubt that they will continue to do this in the future, and that will help to attract new players and keep existing players engaged.
Splinterlands community is very active and passionate. There are a lot of people who are invested in the game, and they are always looking for new ways to improve it. This community spirit will help to keep the game alive and well, even if some of the big players do move on.
I think so too... and truly, I think the Spinterlands Inc team could probably squeeze down to 3 people (Aggy, Matt & Nate) if it had to and still create some cool things.
There are lots of things to be excited about; Land 1.5, SoulKeep, GLX, new game modes, etc etc... that I think could potentially bring new players in and maybe even entice players to return.
i still have some nodes and a lot of Soulkeeps packs waiting for it developement!
You have really come so far to achieve this. Lately I was wondering if the splinterland development team can come up with a strategic plan to market the game abroad more again
Yeah, I'm not sure they are spending much on marketing at all these days. I think their main marketing push is the various partnerships and their Spinterlands.TV on Twitch.
Your data, graphs and tables are very well done, I would like to keep track of my statistics like this. I like that you compare with the other seasons and that the progress is noticeable.

Great stuff. I made it to Silver one for the first time this season in modern. Starting to refine my battle line ups. If I can add a few more level 3 summoners I might be able to get Into gold.

Yeah, it's so important to get a range of summoners.. there are a few situations where I have to use under leveled cards because I just don't have high enough level summoners in Modern.
This seasons seems a great path for you and well, 2 SPS per win are kind of an interesting reward :D

Yeah, 2 SPS per win is honestly way more than I was expecting.
I'm still saving up DEC for the Land 1.5 release... a lot of DEC is required to stake to the individual land plots for workers to start working on them.
Once I've got enough, I'm a little undecided on whether to keep leveling up some of my underpowered Modern summoners (most of my summoners are from older editions) or spend the DEC on Riftwatcher packs to get more of the airdrops.
