My first purchase with HBD: Investing in the Splinterlands project - Social media challenge (En/Es).

Greetings splinterlands community, happy Friday and welcome to my post dedicated to the Social media challenge event and in which I want to share with you what I consider my first major investment in this great project.
Saludos comunidad de splinterlands, feliz viernes y sean bienvenidos a mi post dedicado al evento Social media challenge y en el que quiero compartirles lo que considero mi primera inversión de envergadura en este gran proyecto.
But before going into the details I would like to start from my beginnings, I joined this project at the end of 2020 and although by this year TGC like Axie infinity and Gods unchained had already started to sound quite strongly, the Splinterlands project interested me first for all the time it already had in development (since 2018) and also for two very important aspects: the game requirements were minimal and could be played from the browser and it is a project that exists in the hive ecosystem which I consider a truly decentralized initiative .
Pero antes de entrar en los detalles me gustaría comenzar desde mis inicios, me uní a este proyecto a finales del 2020 y aunque para este año ya comenzaron a sonar con bastante fuerza TGC como Axie infinity y Gods unchained, el proyecto de Splinterlands me interesó primeramente por todo el tiempo que ya tenía de desarrollo (desde el 2018) y también por dos aspectos muy importantes: los requisitos del juego eran mínimos pudiendo jugarse desde el navegador y es un proyecto que existe en el ecosistema hive al que considero una iniciativa verdaderamente descentralizada.
This is how I started my journey in Splinterlands from scratch and I progressed with the rewards that I obtained from the game, my account was revalued both with reward cards and Untamed edition packages which have increased significantly in value.
Fue así como inicié mi viaje en Splinterlands desde cero y fui progresando con las recompensas que fui obteniendo del juego, mi cuenta se fue revalorizando tanto con cartas rewards como de paquetes de la edición Untamed las cuales se han valorizado notablemente.
Then came the Chaos Legion edition and the Sps governance token in the form of an airdrop. I used a good part of these Sps to improve my deck and make it more competitive in the silver league.
Luego llego la edición Chaos legión y el token de gobernanza Sps en forma de airdrop buena parte de estos Sps los utilicé para mejorar mi mazo y hacerlo más competitivo en la liga de plata.
Although I currently have my CL summoners at the gold league level, I do not consider it an investment because I obtained them with the sps airdrop. In short, the game has given me the incentives to grow and become competitive.

And certainly, by renting some summoners from the Untamed edition I have been able to advance and even reach the top 20 ranking in the modern silver league. However, at that level there are some really strong cards that offer a great advantage on the battlefield.

One of them is Dr. Blight, it was the first promotional card of the Chaos Legion edition for those who bought 50 packs or more in the official store, this card is a really strong legendary card that I was very excited to have.

When the card began to go on sale, it was listed at a price of $160 and for the first months of 2022 it cost $104. It was evident that the promotional card was already demonstrating its value in the highest leagues: gold/diamond we would then have no I just have to wait but monitor the market to find the best time to get a bcx of this card.

Time passed, the 13 CL airdrops came out, the Runis were launched, the mini-edition of Rift Watcher and added to all this there were financial events that had a global impact such as the Terra/Luna scams and FTX/Alameda Research had a important effect on prices in the card market.

The average price has been between 40S and 44$ with price peaks that went well beyond 100$. I was already interested in purchasing a copy for 40$ a month and a half ago but I began to observe in the market that the offer of the letter was decreasing drastically until there were no more $40 copies and the lowest price was at $90.😔

However, I did not get carried away by the FOMO of the card with this sudden price increase and decided to wait for more bidders to appear and see how the price behaved. My projection was that eventually the price would return to its base of $40, which ended up happening. happening this last week. That's where I made my move.

Without wasting any more time I decided to change my HBD that I had accumulated since April, about 172 HBD that I had been maintaining at this time. Using HiveHub I made the swap which was quite fast for a low fee.

We merge the 3 cards and what we end up getting is a level 2 legendary promotional card with a cost of 4 mana and 3 abilities: affliction: prevents the target from healing. Camouflage: Cannot be targeted by attacks unless in first position. Poison: Attacks have a chance to apply poison. In summary we have a strategic card that works in the perspective of gradual wear and tear of the enemy, its low speed is compensated by its ability to camouflage itself.
Fusionamos las 3 cartas y lo que terminamos obteniendo es una carta promocional legendaria nivel 2 con un costo de 4 de mana y 3 habilidades: aflicción: impide la curación del objetivo. Camuflaje: no puede ser objetivo de ataques a menos que esté en la primera posición. Poison: Los ataques tienen la posibilidad de aplicar veneno. En resumen tenemos una carta estratégica que funciona en la perspectiva del desgaste gradual del enemigo, su baja velocidad es compensada por su habilidad para camuflarse.
⚔️Testing the card in combat/Probando la carta en combate
We carried out the baptism of fire of our new acquisition in a fairly complex combat: little league + equal opportunity I thought at first that I would lose the battle but luckily our opponent used a completely melee strategy so although he had the initiative of the first attack we managed to withstand it with the defense of Queen micelia, managing to eliminate 3 cards in the 1st round. Realizamos el bautizo de fuego de nuestra nueva adquisición en un combate bastante complejo: little league + equal opportunity pensé en un primer momento que perdería la batalla pero por suerte nuestro oponente utilizó una estrategia enteramente melé así que aunque tenía la iniciativa del primer ataque logramos soportarlo con la defensa del Queen micelia, logrando eliminar 3 cartas en el 1er round. Well, my dear friends, I wanted to start this article by narrating my journey through the game throughout these almost 3 years of Splinterlands as a way of expressing the confidence I have in this project and why I decided to make this strong investment in the game and it is because I am sure that this is a robust project with a dedicated community, which in my opinion is the most important thing. I did not buy this asset with the purpose of selling it in a bullrun but because I really enjoy this game and it is rewarding to grow as a competitive player, share strategies, participate in a guild and win tournaments.
I hope you liked the content, it has been a pleasure for me to share this experience with the community and I sincerely hope that it serves as inspiration for those who are starting out. Bien mis estimados amigos, quise empezar este artículo narrando mi rrecorrido por el juego a lo largo de estos ya casi 3 años de Splinterlands como una forma de manifestarles la confianza que tengo en este proyecto y porque decidí realizar esta fuerte inversión en el juego y es porque estoy seguro que este es un proyecto robusto con una comunidad dedicada que es a mi juicio lo más importante. Este activo no lo compre con el propósito de venderlo en un bullrun sino porque de verdad disfruto mucho con este juego y es gratificante ir creciendo como jugador competitivo, compartir estrategias, participar de un gremio y ganar torneos.
Espero que te haya gustado el contenido, ha sido grato para mi compartir esta experiencia con la comunidad y sinceramente espero que sirva de inspiración para aquellos que están empezando.
