FOMO with Splinterlands Alpha Cards!

Hi everyone! One of the best things I love about Splinterlands is the many ways you can play it! It's not just all about battling your cards, no, no! There is a huge market out there and I love to get in on something when I can as FOMO will set in, that is a guarantee! I have been posting videos for months about how Alpha cards are getting more scarce every day! I earn an extra 10% DEC battling my Alpha cards. I just love them as that is the 1st Edition of Splinterlands which was called Steem Monsters in those days!

I am here once again on the Splinterlands market, I'm checking out the supply of Alpha cards! It is decreasing every time I look at it! What an exciting time! Alpha cards are what I started with and back then, you did not have stats on the cards and could only open up packs and then sell or trade the cards yourself or level them up.

Of course, I was about the 6th or maybe 7th person in Steem Monsters (it was called Steem Monsters at first) to max out all my regular Alpha cards! Not the gold foil ones but the regular edition! I was so proud of that day! I did it all by opening up packs! There was no market and back then, I just bought packs mainly. New players are lucky they can make a deck by renting cheap cards or even buying them cheap on the market. Unfortunately on the day of the burn (when DEC first came out), I burned many, many Alphas!

I bought some Goblin Sorcerers yesterday, I am back buying just a few more among others I see I like. I finally hit 1K Alpha Rexxie cards, lol! It sure is a lot of fun collecting the Alpha Edition cards! My first love! A big shout out to all of those who are Steem Monster O.G.'s and love your Alpha's as much as I do! ~@clove71 #Alphaforlife

Very cool to know its history from the beginning when it wasn't even a game yet, but collectibles.
Now you have rare cards and are getting more and more valuable.
Playing with these cards should give a nice return on DEC.

I Remember Watching you do a Video Last Year @clove71 and I Did Exactly what you were doing in Buying Prismatic Energy Cards at Around .22 and Now They are Going for Over $1.25 a Piece and I am Not Even Thinking About Selling them.......... The Returns made on Good Cards is HUGE !!!

Yes!! I am always on the lookout- today I was just buying cards I love, lol!! The alpha cards are so crazy priced right now! I remember when an Alpha Alric Stormbringer was like .45 and now it is $14 for one and if you have a gold one - just one single is going for $190! I Love it, it's great! Hey, I have a spot for you, if you are interested- in Immortal Gods IV Guild- and you do not have to join any Discord for this one- you can chat in the in game chat it's fine- if you are interested you can request or I could send an invite and you can see what it's like to be in a Guild brawl! :-) It's like an anytime tourney, you have 24 hours to battle.

Same here! I bought a bunch of Gelatinous Cubes for $0.01 and now they're $.09. The few Alphas I own have gone off the charts.

Yes! I burned so many though during the day of the burn, LOL! I burned an Alpha Gold Tyrus maxed Summoner LOL! I got a Beta instead wth lolol

Lol... the Day of the Burn... I threw sooo many GFs into the furnace to get that sweet dark energy and bought a bunch of orbs. It's a bitter sweet memory. We should commemorate it by airdropping a random player a copy of the most burned card that day. We can call it The March of the Fallen, and do the next in line every year. :)

Yes! Great idea! I would love to see who burned the most that day- the top ten-day of the burn! I wish I had that info! I got caught up and burned so much! LOL! OMG! It was a fun day but I burned myself I think a bit!
