Rise of The Knights (Battle Mage Secrets - Lost Magic)

Sometimes, the wars are being settled with blade and bow and no magic user is allowed to take part in the battlefield. All sort of magic is banished anyone who tries to enter the battlefield is killed by barrier turrets.

Rose, the Helios Matriarch, found a solution and called Pelacors and knights to help her win the battle against Divine Alliance. She promised them to give an advantage on their speed and dodge traits.

Marisol Contuma a knight herself offered a kin pact to Uriel to make him a knight as well, which he accepted and bestowed with the title of Knighthood.

LOST MAGIC

When this ruleset is imposed on a battle, it restricts the use of any Magic card in the battle lineup. Although a player can use melee, ranged, and no attack units in this ruleset.

This ruleset gives an advantage to those players who own or use ranged and melee attack monsters in their battles.

Additional Ruleset: Born Again

This is one of the most liked rulesets by players because it makes their unit revive with full stats except health as a revived unit receives only 1 health.

This ruleset favors players who use Martyr monsters in their lineup, as this ability increases the stats of a card twice on the death of Martyr unit.

BATTLE LINEUP

This is a 38 Mana battle and I managed to use 2 vigorous monsters to shiver the enemy units and make them fear for their lives.

STRATEGY

Most opponents use armor protection and different shields in the Lost Magic ruleset, which is quite annoying and hard to beat armored units. Therefore, I used a monster with Shatter ability to break their armor and make them weak and attack their health directly.

I also used a summoner with a +1 Speed booster to attack first and take advantage of dodging enemy attacks.

Summoner and Monsters in Action

Helios Matriarch's real name is "Rosa Phireth" and she is the most esteemed lady of the Gloridax Empire. She can summon dragons, gladiators, and any other splinter of her choice. She increased the speed of friendly units and can summon Gladiator cards using her 'Conscript' ability.

Uriel The Purifier is a legendary Pelacor unit, but he left his faction in search of the true power. He can fly and dodge melee and ranged attacks, he does not attack immediately, but prepare a vicious blow that does 3x damage when lands on an unshielded enemy. He holds the line at first position as a fierce tank.

Venari Marksrat is placed in 2nd position between Uriel and Contuma, if he dies he will increase the stats of both adjacent units and make them more powerful. Because of "Born Again" ruleset, he will make them 2 extra stats each time he dies.

Marisol Contuma sits at 3rd position, but it is intended to occupy 2nd position as soon as Marksrat dies, she will use her "Reach" ability to land powerful blows on an enemy tank from behind. She is a Gladiator, therefore she has Bloodlust ability, whenever she kills a monster she will increase her stats and become unbeatable.

Soul Fiend occupies 4th position and his only use is to improve reward points and also serves as a bait for opportunity attackers.

War Pegasus holds the 5th position and it is a ranged unit with Flying and Shatter abilities. It is used to remove enemy units' armor with one hit by using its Shatter ability.

Pelacor Conjurer is the last unit of this lineup and he is also bait for Sneak monsters if there will be any in the opponent's lineup.

This battle takes longer than usual to define, but it is worth watching every round of the battle in this video. You'll love the attack of War Pegasus and Marisol.

BATTLE COMMENTARY

Helios Matriarch raises the Dragon Warden Staff and blesses her units with +1 speed as she promised them, they are now more agile and quick.

Lorna shelters her units with Divine Shield and protects them from the first attack of Rosa's units. Truthspeaker adds another layer of armor on Lorna's units and Clockwork Aide increases their speed giving them a little advantage, but of no use to them.

Round 1
War Pegasus hurls an armor-shattering blade on Shieldbearer and removes his armor and Divine Shield.

Prismologist targets Uriel and shoots some crystals at him, prism damage also reaches Marksrat killing him instantly, but he gets a second life and happily says "Kill me again, kill me again, hehe, haha, I die, you doom."

Round 2
Uriel The Purifier is charged and his super attack slices Shieldbearer into pieces, luckily he is revived by the magic field but then Pegasus dumps his dream of a new life by destroying his armor.

"Damn, Even a rat can kill a human, hehe, haha, hoo-hoo." shouts Marksrat and a merciless arrow ends Shieldbearer's 2nd life.

Rounds 3 to 5
Finally, Marksrat's 2nd life is snatched by Prismologist's blasting attack, but it also gives Uriel and Marisol to become even more deadly adversaries.

Uriel is dodging projectiles and melee attacks as his Flying and Speed abilities pay off.

Uriel lands a devastating blow on Chaos Knight and raises his sword in anger "Listen, fake knight, you will be born again but Marisol will stomp you with her horse, so stay dead or be my guest."

Chaos Knight is slashed by Marisol Contuma to never return to life again, Marisol licks her blade and boosts her stats.

Rounds 6 and 7
Marisol speaks in utter anger "Truth be told, your duffel bag armor is an old tactic, use it in a puppet fight and now get ready to be cut in halves by my blade."

With the aid of her knightly Pegasus, she kills little lady twice in the battle and gains unmatched powers.

Prismologist somehow manages to kill the flying knight, but he comes back and stands like a fortress wall.

Rounds 8 and 9
"Marisol, you must replace me if I die, but I promise I'll hold their attacks until the last drop of the blood in my veins." says Uriel in a downing voice to Marisol.

Marisol replies "Worry not my friend, we'll win this battle and brandish our blades in glory and fervor."

As she ends her conversation with Uriel she shattered Clockwork Aide into pieces, and the gears from Aide spread all around the battlefield.

Rounds 10 to 11
Prismologist dies by Marisol's blade and gets a new life immediately, and she requests with a weeping voice "Arbalest, we can't win this battle, but make me happy by killing this winged horror in my life, please.".

Unfortunately, one of the bolts from Pelacor Arbalest takes Uriel's precious life, he falls to the ground and dies still holding his blade high in the air.

"You both just wrote your death notes, now you'll feel the pain of a lifetime and die forever." yells Marisol angrily and crushes Prismologist with the hooves of her Mustang.

Rounds 12 and 13
Pelacor Arbalest stands in front of a mighty knight, his wings wrap him in fear and he trembles and shivers as he sees death is inevitable. He is slashed and mutilated so badly as he is dead and unrecognizable.

"I am Marisol Contuma, Knight of Silver Shield, I declare this battle a win." She raises the flag high and marches on.

STRATEGY OUTCOME ANALYSIS

It was a wonderful strategy involving powerful units, tactical thinking, and the best use of abilities. As you see the blast damage by Prismologist just helped my units to get stats as every time Marksrat died he made them super monsters.

But, I give my respect to War Pegasus whose Shattering shot not only dispelled Divine Shield of enemy units but also removed their whole armor, this created a way for my units to directly attack their health.

The combination of Uriel and Marisol proved to be one of the best lineups I have ever used until now. I'll use this combo again in upcoming high mana battles and try to toy around by adding different support monsters to see their usefulness in the combats.
