Remeber when Splinterlands announced this? The first 500k Riftwatchers packs sold will be considered "presale" packs. The presale is currently scheduled to begin on Thursday, September 15th, 2022 at 2 PM ET / 18:00 UTC. Please note that Riftwatchers packs will not be able to be opened until the set goes live which is currently scheduled for Sept 27th, 2022. Well, those 500,000 packs were gone lickety split. In the first minute 334,464 packs were sold.
And by the second minute, there were 540,882 packs sold
And how did I do?
I was able to buy 100 packs and recieve the 10 free bonus packs, well almost free, because bonus packs required vouchers also. I am looking forward to my PROMO CARDS.

I was so surprised. I almost missed it.
If I weren't watching the countdown I would have! When I went to purchase only 129 packs had sold, after it was already over 100K!

It was the same for me. And I had to scroll down to buy. It was so very fast. Still climbing at 601,423 and it's not even 30 minutes into the sale!
I feel lucky I was hanging around for the start, it's amazing how fast they are selling out. Maybe we'll get lucky and get an airdrop!

Cards can't be opened until Sept 27th.

I did it for the promo card. I missed out on Dr Blight and so I wanted to be in the first 500,000 to have a chance at the promo card. Waiting on chaos packs is what I did and I don't regret that. Chaos packs are around $1.77 today, and the same thing may happen to Riftwatchers. I will probably open and sell some of the cards quickly to recoup my investment and hopefully have a few good cards to hold onto.
Well, for waiting I bought Dr Blight in the market for $7 and he can sell for $25, I got a great deal. I hope you have a lot of luck and you get very good cards, and I will follow you to see your face when you open them :-))

On the other hand, I learned my lesson... I won't take part into a presale again, unless I have enough to guarantee getting an airdrop card. (...and Giving up on the Promo entirely.)
I agree. I did the 100 packs to get a guarantee on the promo card. Sales are slower now. I wonder if there will be another incentive announced to push volume, or if Riftwatchers will be like Chaos with more packs available than demand.
Dude, how crazy, the demand in this video game is really high enough to exhaust all the packages in just minutes, it's a bit tedious about the vouchers but I think it's worth it if you manage to get a couple of good cards and put up with them a bit... Anyway, I look forward to seeing your post opening the packages!
