Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - WE GOT FIRST!!! WOOHOO!!!

Time flies! Just completed the 11th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I finally did well in the last brawl and I was looking to build on the result. However, unlike the previous brawl, I didn't have a good feeling when I submitted the teams. I pondered further and I guessed it was because the battle modifiers were different, in the sense that, there were battles that I could pick my team within 30 seconds, but this time, there were many battles which I still couldn't find a satisfactory team after 3 minutes. Fortunately the end result wasn't too bad and didn't cost the guild any positions. Hehe!

• We Got 1st!

So for the final result, we finished 1st out of 10 guilds and got 877 Merits! WOOHOO! That's the first time we have gotten 1st since I joined the guild! Credit to all the great teamwork and contributions of every member!

Individually, I had 9 fights this time and I managed 3 wins, finishing 10th within the guild. Not the best result but I am reasonably satisfied with my team selection.

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Katrelba Gobson

I have heard good stuff about Katrelba Gobson but she was struck out before she had a chance to hit. Also, Venari Knifer's high speed didn't shine in this Enrage battle.

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

I went in with a Flying lineup for the Earthquake battle but was outfought by higher levelled cards and the +2 Armor from the opposing summoner. It was a close battle nonetheless.

Battle 3 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

Had no answers to the Llama/Kron combination and Almo Cambio did its best but succumbed to defeat eventually.

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Chimney Wallstop

Both teams had similar lineups as it was down to which Grum could chalk up more Bloodlust first. Unfortunately the opposing Grum clocked the last hits easily but my Grum wasn't able to get much. Lost in the final showdown of Grum vs Grum.

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Witch of Warwick

Was no match for Byzantine Kitty and lost out by lack of speed and lower damage output. Zyvax Vuul missed its sole 6 damage hit and that was a costly miss.

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Isgard Vorst

Level 1 vs Level 1 summoner. I couldn't lose this, could I? Got a little worried when I saw that the opposing tank had Void which meant Oshannus had to take forever to take it out, and thereafter, the opposing Isgard Vorst got Bloodlust going first. Eventually it was down to Isgard Vorst vs Isgard Vorst, and I lost due to a weaker version with lesser Bloodlust activated.

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

Coming into this battle with 6 out of 6 losses, I found myself facing Yodin Zaku with higher level cards. I wasn't hopeful but Relenor Cleaver surprised myself by chalking up the Bloodlust one after another. I gasped in amazement when I won this battle! My team handled Yodin Zaku's Blast effectively by having 2 strong front cards. And definitely, Relenor Cleaver carried the whole team with the damage output.

Battle 8 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Orella Abadon

This was another battle which amazed me. Was expecting a loss as the opposing Disintegrator/Living Lava combination meant my Djinn Chwala and Carnage Titan would be dealing 0 damage. The (unlikely) MVP of the battle turned out to be Sand Worm, which didn't miss any of its 6 hits and dealt out 28 damage.

Battle 9 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

What's the worst summoner to face when you have an entire Melee lineup? Yes, it's Mylor Crowling. Fortunately, Diemonshark and Relenor Cleaver had tons of armor to spare and they partnered the 2nd time in this brawl and overcame the opposing team!

MVP: Relenor Cleaver

So that sums up my 9 battles for this brawl! Relenor Cleaver is really rocking the guild brawls for me lately!
