Crossing the Frontier - My Return to the Splinterlands' Ranking
It's a pleasure to be back, #Splinterlands community. After a long absence, which thankfully wasn't permanent, I've decided to return to the card game that was my favorite for several years. I know I've been practically absent, but that's because I prioritized other personal matters and, of course, my work and my server.
Un placer estar de vuelta, comunidad de #Splinterlands. Luego de una larga ausencia que se podría decir que por suerte no fué algo permanente, he decidido retomar el juego de cartas que fue mi favorito por unos cuantos años, sé que he estado prácticamente desaparecido pero es porque le di prioridad a otros asuntos personales y por supuesto, mi trabajo y mi server.
I started playing again about a week ago, and wow, the game has changed. I hadn't ranked for years, and it felt like my experience had vanished, but after a couple of matches, it was like riding a bike again, something that you never forget.
Desde hace como una semana ya que empecé de nuevo a jugar y vaya que ha habido cambios en el juego. Tenía unos cuantos años sin entrar y pareciera que mi experiencia hubiese desaparecido, pero luego de jugar un par de partidas, todo fue como andar en bicicleta, es algo que nunca se olvida.
What I like most about this game is the new Frontier mode. With it, the cards are limited to one edition and are usually practically the same for everyone, so you reach a point where you know what each one does and can see if your opponent will beat you with their chosen cards or if you have the advantage with your rules set.
And as I mentioned, since I haven't played in a long time, this new game mode remains quite basic in the early ranks in terms of rules and creature abilities. This helped me learn them quite quickly, and I had so many consecutive wins that I practically reached Gold III in one go.
Lo que más me gusta de este juego es la nueva modalidad Frontera, con ella las cartas están limitadas a una edición y suelen ser prácticamente las mismas para todos, así que llega un punto en el que sabrás para qué sirve cada una y podrás vislumbrar si tu oponente te ganará con las cartas que eligió o si tú le llevas la ventaja con el set de reglas.
Y como ya les dije, que he pasado mucho tiempo sin jugar, esa nueva modalidad de juego se mantiene bastante básica en los primeros rangos entre lo que se refiere a reglamentos y habilidades de criaturas, lo que me ayudó a conocerlas bastante rápido y tuve tantas victorias consecutivas que prácticamente llegué a Oro III de un solo golpe.
And you can't imagine how excited I felt when I saw that after investing so many hours and some DECs for strategic purchases, learning and using these Foundation cards, it paid off when I was able to climb the ranks with so many consecutive wins and reach Gold as quickly as possible.
Y no saben cuánta emoción sentí al ver que luego de haber invertido tantas horas y algunos DECs para compras estratégicas, aprendiendo y usando estas cartas de Fundation, rindieron sus frutos al poder subir los rangos con tantas victorias seguidas y llegar lo más rápido posible a Oro.
I also managed to win some really great prizes, including cards that gave me more variety among the newbies and allowed me to level up some others, as well as a few energies and potions that I found quite useful. As I progressed through the leagues, the prizes got even better.
También logré ganar unos cuantos premios muy pero muy buenos, entre ellos cartas que me dieron diversidad entre los novatos y también me permitieron subir de nivel algunas otras, y unas cuantas energías y pociones que me resultaron bastante útiles. A medida que iba avanzando de liga, los premios iban siendo mejores.
It sounds easy, but what most people don't realize is that these kinds of games require time, dedication, and concentration to choose the right teams. I played enough to complete my daily missions and earn the rewards, sometimes even more than usual to speed up my progress and save time the next day. It was tough, but I reached my new level, which I'm very proud of.
Se dice fácil, pero lo que no ve la mayoría de las personas es que este tipo de juegos requiere tiempo y dedicación además de concentración para elegir los equipos. Jugaba lo suficiente hasta completar mis misiones diarias y obtener las recompensas, a veces hasta de más con tal de adelantar un poco más mi progreso y ahorrarme tiempo al día siguiente. Fue duro, pero logré mi nuevo nivel del cual me siento muy orgulloso.
