TownStar Weekly BTC Contest Update
A few days ago I did a video about the gala games contest to win BTC. I didn't know all the breakdowns of the payout but I do now. I share them in the video and go over what I will win and what people won if they just logged in and played the for even a few minutes. I can't confirm they will pay out the guys that got in the top 1000 by not playing or only selling the first starting items you get. Still, it is easy to win an NFT from them right now. The game is new and with a contest paying out the top 1000 something. They only had 1100 people playing and only like 500 really played a bit. I think something that hurts is there is a bit of pay to win going on with this game. For that reason, I don't love the prize break down but I did win a Rare NFT that they sell for .1 ETH. I am not sure what I can get on the markets for it but I will check out how to do it and see what I have when the whole month is over. I expect to have 4 rare nfts as I don't think I can hit the top 10 without some investments into stands that give out free wheat or sugar but who knows. I didn't get that close this week you will see. I do give you loot at my baking town and show you my overall score and set up. I talk about what I did well and what I did wrong. It does take Eth to claim right now for me so I won't claim it till they are on the new chain or I have a lot more as gala is not worth enough right now.

As a side node gala is an ERC20 and on uniswap. But as it is a token for a game they are looking to get off of ETH to avoid transaction fees on the item market. I think this should be done by the time the MMORPG comes out as they will not want all the different items you can sell in that game to have big fees. My guess is WAX but time will tell.

I tried out the game. I couldn't really figure it out so I got rank 230ish with 1k points by selling wood, wheat and flour. I was wondering about a specific question in regards to Gala games. I have a inventory gift (from using your referral), but at the same time I don't exactly want to pay for the ETH gas fee (for a game that I haven't put myself to commit to yet). They do say that they are planning to take it off the ETH blockchain so do you know a rough date for it?
I don't but I will be following that as I also have 300 gala there and no reason to pay to claim. In the video, my guess is it has to move before the next game comes out. That will be an MMORPG with armor and swords and lands and all kinds of stuff with an in-game marketplace. They want that marketplace to run on Gala. So it can't be on ETH. I don't know how long it will take them to move, It could depend on what chain they want to target. Wax is ready but Poka and ADA are coming. ETH 2.0 is coming but that doesn't fix fees right away. My guess is game development is going to drive the move.
Oh ya, you will win an NFT if you played on the right server last week for that place. I do have videos on how to play the game but it is hard to make a good how-to video as the game is slow and recording like 20 hours of footage to then speed up is a lot of work and I just don't make enough money doing this to do that
