A few hours ago Splinterlands announced a Promo Card Sale in which only Splintershards (SPS) stakeholders will be able to participate.

The Promo Card Sale will start on March 21, 2023 and end seven days later, on March 28, 2023.

The protagonist of this particular sale will be the Vruz Promo Card which will be a common card of the element Dragon.
Vruz will have the stats and abilities that you can see in the following image, an image published by @splinterlands in the following post: Announcing the Staked SPS Promo Card Sale!

Vruz will have a purchase cost of 1 VOUCHER per copy but the requirement to purchase each copy will be an increment of 1000 SPS staked.
So only those who will have a minimum of 1000 SPS staked will be able to participate in the promo card sale.

Only those who will have 400k SPS staked at the time of the snapshot will be able to purchase 400 BCX with 400 VOUCHER and thus be able to have Vruz of maximum level.

Each copy of Vruz purchased will have a 4% chance of being Gold.
For every 25 cards purchased in a single transaction you will be guaranteed to receive at least 1 Vruz in Gold version.

I really like this sale initiative for several reasons:

• it rewards those who have decided to staking SPS tokens
• it creates a new use case for SPS tokens
• creates a new use case for VOUCHER tokens
• shows the validity and usefulness of the proposal voting system implemented by Splinterlands because this staked promo card sale comes right out of a proposal by a player @genepoolchlrn8r.

I also really like the playability of the Vruz card because it has statistics that will be very useful in battles that have precise characteristics such as:

• the battles that have little mana available
• the battles with rulesets: Little League, Equalizer

Vruz of level 1-4 will not be a particularly useful card in battle because it has only one point of attack and starts with only one life point (level 1) making it an easily eliminable card unless the ruleset is Equalizer.

From level 5, Vruz gains a second and useful Martyr ability and consequently increases its usefulness in battle.

When a card with the Martyr ability is eliminated it increases all stats of adjacent friendly cards by +1 unit.

The Martyr ability is an ability that adapts to different battle strategies that are in turn influenced by the rulesets and attack objective of enemy cards.

From level 5 to level 7 Vruz always has only one point of attack but has a speed that increases by 1 point per level and becomes a less fragile card in battle because it has a higher chance of avoiding enemy attacks.

In my opinion it is from level 8 onward that Vruz becomes a really useful card in battle because:

• it acquires an extra attack point (1->2)
• at level 9 it also increases its speed from a value of 6 to a value of 7.

My purchase plans for Vruz

Vruz is a card I like and is a card I would like to add to my collection but playing in Gold+ leagues I would rarely use Vruz below level 8.

Therefore, I would like to have Level 8 Vruz and that is my purchase/upgrade goal.

On the other hand, my accumulation goal for SPS tokens is 100k staked SPS but right now I only have 54778 staked SPS.

I also have 1696 SPS in the Diesel Pool PKM:SPS, amount of SPS that I will remove from the pool just before March 21 when there will be the snapshot.

I therefore have a total of 56474.25 SPS which would allow me to purchase only 56 BCX of Vruz with the guarantee of receiving at least 2 Vruz Gold version.

With 54 BCX regular version I would need to purchase another 166 BCX to upgrade my Vruz to level 8.

Fortunately, I don't need to buy VOUCHER tokens because I have 724 VOUCHERs but, if the value of the VOUCHERs increases during or just before the start of the sale, I could sell some of them and then buy them back later when and if their value decreases again.

So even though I have not yet decided on the buying strategy to follow I have started to think of different possible strategies to follow that will depend on the value that the VOUCHER tokens will have and the market price that VRUZ will have.

For example, I could sell the Gold copies of Vruz that I will receive in the first few days of the sale to later buy the BCXs that I need to upgrade Vruz to level 8.
If the VOUCHER tokens increase a lot in value in the week of the sale I could sell them to buy the copies of Vruz that I will need after March 28.

By the way, VOUCHER tokens have already been affected by the announcement of the Vruz card sale because their value has increased in the last 3-4 days by a good percentage value.

So even though I haven't yet decided on my buying strategy I have one certainty: I want to add level 8 Vruz to my collection because it is a card that will play very well with two of my summoners that I use a lot in Gold+ leagues:

• Daria Dragonscale level 6
• Byzantine Kitty level 3

With Daria Dragonscale Vruz would have a total attack of 3 points.
With Byzantine Kitty it would reach a speed of 8 points (Vruz level 8) and 9 points (Vruz level 9+) becoming a very difficult card to hit from enemy cards with melee attack or with ranged attack.

What will be the cost of Vruz and what will be its market value?

For SPS stakeholders Vruz will have the cost of 1 VOUCHER token.
Those who do not have SPS tokens will have to wait for SPS stakeholders to put the cards on sale on the market.

Today March 16, 2023 buying 1 token VOUCHER has a cost of 0.3329997 SWAP.HIVE = $0.134865

In the table below you can see the dollar cost that will be incurred by those who have SPS staked tokens but do not have VOUCHER tokens and will have to purchase them.

To get an idea of the possible future market value of Vruz, I searched the market for cards that have similar statistics to Vruz and considered the number of cards in circulation.

There are only 3 cards that have the Sneak ability and have a cost in mana = 2:

• Undead Badger: $0.329 per BCX - Low buy: $0.450
• Kobold Miner: $0.479 per BCX - Low buy: $1,118
• Shin-Lo: $2200 for BCX - Low buy: $2200

The only non-soulbound card that has the True Strike ability and costs 2 mana is Celestial Harpy which has a cost per BCX of $0.180 and a Low buy cost of $0.193.

Among the soulbound cards, however, is Orella Abadon (Gladius), which acquires the True Strike ability at level 5

There are no cards that have the Martyr ability and have a mana cost equal to 2.

Today, March 16, 2023, the token SPS staked are 525896751 and this means that if there is the same amount of SPS staked on March 21, more than 525000 copies of Vruz will be available for purchase.

The Chaos Legion edition cards that have a number of cards in circulation around 500000 units are Twilight Basilisk, Naga Assassin, Venari Bonesmith and Gargoya Devil that have a market value ranging from $0.05 and $0.06.

I do not think it likely that the equation: number of cards purchased = number SPS staked will be realized at the end of the sale, and I think it more likely that the number of cards purchased will be less than the number of SPS tokens staked

The market value of Vruz will depend largely on the total number of cards in circulation and will most likely cost more in the early days of the sale when fewer copies are placed on the market.

Final Considerations

Vruz is a card I really like because there is no other card that costs only 2 mana and has its same battle stats and abilities.

Based on the current market value of VOUCHER tokens and based on the market value of cards that have some similar stats to Vruz I consider buying Vruz via VOUCHER a good buy.

If I had 400k SPS tokens staked I would surely buy 400 copies of Vruz to have top level Vruz in my collection but I only have 56K SPS.

This is just my prediction, it is not financial advice and I could be wrong but I think 1 copy of Vruz will have a market value of not less than $0.20-$0.25.

I will try to add Vruz at least level 8 to my collection and for the timing of buying the BCXs that I will not be able to buy during the promo card sale I will be guided by:

• the number of cards in circulation
• the market value of the VOUCHER tokens.

I hope that Splinterlands will follow up this nice initiative with similar ones in the future to incentivize the staking of SPS tokens and to add use cases to SPS tokens and VOUCHER tokens.

Vruz: La prima carta promozionale acquistabile solo dagli SPS Stakeholders. Statistiche, valutazioni e considerazioni

Poche ore fa Splinterlands ha annunciato una Promo Card Sale a cui potranno partecipare solo gli Splintershards (SPS) stakeholders.

La Promo Card Sale inizierà il 21 marzo 2023 e terminerà sette giorni dopo, il 28 marzo 2023.

La protagonista di questa particolare vendita sarà la carta Promo Vruz che sarà una carta comune dell'elemento Dragone.
Vruz avrà le statistiche e le abilità che puoi vedere nell'immagine seguente, immagine pubblicata da @splinterlands nel seguente post: Announcing the Staked SPS Promo Card Sale!

Vruz avrà un costo di acquisto di 1 VOUCHER per copia ma il requisito per acquistare ogni copia sarà un incremento di 1000 SPS staked.
Quindi solo chi avrà un minimo di 1000 SPS staked potrà partecipare alla promo card sale.

Solo chi avrà 400k SPS staked al momento dello snapshot potrà acquistare 400 BCX e quindi potrà avere Vruz di massimo livello.

Ogni copia di Vruz acquistata avrà il 4% di probabilità di essere Gold.
Ogni 25 carte acquistate in un'unica transazione si avrà la garanzia di ricevere almeno 1 Vruz in versione Gold.

Mi piace molto questa iniziativa per diversi motivi:

• premia chi ha deciso di mettere in staking i token SPS
• crea un nuovo caso d'uso per i token SPS
• crea un nuovo caso d'uso per i token VOUCHER
• mostra la validità e l'utilità del sistema di voto delle proposals implementato da Splinterlands perchè questa staked promo card sale nasce proprio da una proposta di un giocatore @genepoolchlrn8r.

Mi piace molto anche la giocabilità della carta Vruz perchè ha statistiche che saranno molto utili in battaglie che hanno precise caratteristiche come ad esempio:

• le battaglie che hanno pochi mana disponibili
• le battaglie con le rulesets: Little League, Equalizer

Vruz di livello 1-4 non sarà una carta particolarmente utile in battaglia perchè ha un solo punto di attacco e un solo punto vita che la rende una carta facilmente eliminabile a meno che la ruleset non sia Equalizer.

Dal livello 5, Vruz acquisisce una seconda e utile abilità Martyr e di conseguenza aumenta la sua utilità in battaglia.

Quando una carta con l'abilità Martyr è eliminata aumenta tutte le statistiche delle carte amiche adiacenti di +1 unità.

L'abiltià Martyr si presta a diverse strategie di battaglia che dipendono molto dalle rulesets e dall'obiettivo di attacco delle carte nemiche.

Dal livello 5 al livello 7 Vruz ha sempre un solo punto di attacco ma ha una velocità che cresce di 1 punto per ogni livello e diventa una carta meno fragile in battaglia perchè ha una maggiore probabilità di evitare gli attacchi nemici.

Secondo me è a partire dal livello 8 in poi che Vruz diventa una carta davvero utile in battaglia perchè:

• acquisisce un punto di attacco in più (1->2)
• al livello 9 aumenta anche la sua velocità che passa da un valore di 6 ad un valore di 7.

I miei piani di acquisto per Vruz

Vruz è una carta che mi piace ed è una carta che vorrei aggiungere alla mia collezione ma giocando nelle leghe Gold+ utilizzerei raramente Vruz di livello inferiore al livello 8.
Per questo motivo mi piacerebbe avere Vruz di livello 8 e questo è il mio obiettivo di acqisto/upgrade.

Il mio obiettivo di accumulo per i token SPS è invece di 100k SPS staked ma in questo momento ho solo 54778 SPS staked.

Ho anche 1696 SPS nella Diesel Pool PKM:SPS, quantitativo di SPS che rimuoverò dalla pool poco prima del 21 marzo quando ci sarà lo snapshot.

Ho quindi un totale di 56474.25 SPS che mi permetterebbero di acquistare 56 BCX di Vruz con la garanzia di ricevere almeno 2 Vruz Gold version.

Con 54 BCX regular version dovrei acquistare altri 166 BCX per portare il mio Vruz al livello 8.

Non ho bisogno di acquistare i token VOUCHER perchè ho 724 VOUCHER ma, se il valore dei VOUCHER aumenterà durante o poco prima l'inizio della vendita, potrei vendere una parte per poi ricomprarli in seguito quando e se il loro valore diminuirà di nuovo.

Quindi anche se non ho ancora deciso la strategia di acquisto da seguire ho iniziato a pensare a diverse strategie possibili da seguire che dipenderanno dal valore che avranno i token VOUCHER e dal prezzo di mercato che avrà VRUZ.

Potrei ad esempio vendere le copie Gold di Vruz che riceverò nei primi giorni della vendita per acquistare in un secondo momento i BCX che mi servono per fare l'upgrade di Vruz al livello 8.
Se i token VOUCHER dovessero aumentare molto di valore nella settimana della vendita potrei venderli per acquistare le copie di Vruz che mi serviranno dopo il 28 marzo.

Tra l'altro i token VOUCHER hanno già subito l'effetto Vruz e il loro valore è aumentanto negli ultimi 3-4 giorni di un buon valore percentuale.

Quindi anche se non ho deciso ancora la strategia di acquisto da seguire ho una certezza: voglio aggiungere Vruz di livello 8 alla mia collezione perchè è una carta che giocherà molto bene con due miei evocatori che uso molto nelle leghe Gold+:

• Daria Dragonscale di livello 6
• Byzantine Kitty di livello 3

Con Daria Dragonscale Vruz avrebbe un attacco totale di 3 punti.
Con Byzantine Kitty raggiungerebbe una velocità di 8 punti (Vruz livello 8) e 9 punti (Vruz livello 9+) diventando una carta molto difficile da colpire dalle carte nemiche con attacco da mischia o con attacco dalla distanza.

Quale sarà il costo di Vruz e quale sarà il suo valore di mercato?

Per gli SPS stakeholders Vruz avrà il costo di 1 token VOUCHER.
Chi non ha token SPS dovrà aspettare che gli SPS stakeholders mettano in vendita le carte sul mercato

Oggi 16 marzo 2023 acquistare 1 token VOUCHER ha un costo di 0.3329997 SWAP.HIVE = 0.134865$

Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere il costo in dollari che dovrà sostenere chi ha i token SPS staked ma non ha i token VOUCHER e dovrà acquistarli.

Per avere un idea del possibile futuro valore di mercato di Vruz ho cercato sul mercato le carte che hanno statistiche simili a Vruz e ho considerato il numero di carte in circolazione.

Ci sono solo 3 carte che hanno l'abilità Sneak e hanno un costo in mana = 2:

Tra le carte soulbound c'è invece Orella Abadon (Gladius) che acquisisce l'abilità True Strike al livello 5

Non esistono carte che hanno l'abilità Martyr e che hanno un costo in mana uguale a 2.

Oggi 16 marzo 2023 i token SPS staked sono 525896751 e questo vuol dire che se il 21 marzo ci sarà lo stesso quantitativo di SPS staked saranno disponibili all'acquisto più di 525000 copie di Vruz.

Le carte dell'edizione Chaos Legion che hanno un numero di carte in circolazione intorno alle 500000 unità sono Twilight Basilisk, Naga Assassin, Venari Bonesmith e Gargoya Devil che hanno un valore di mercato che varia da 0.05$ e 0.06$.

Non credo probabile l'equazione numero di carte acquistate = numero SPS staked.

Il valore di mercato di Vruz dipenderà in gran parte dal numero totale di carte in circolazione e con molta probabilità avrà un costo maggiore i primi giorni della vendita quando le copie immesse sul mercato saranno in numero inferiore.

Considerazioni Finali

Vruz è una carta che mi piace molto perchè non c'è un'altra carta che costa solo 2 mana e ha le sue stesse statistiche di battaglia e le sue stesse abilità.

In base al valore di mercato attuale dei token VOUCHER e in base al valore di mercato delle carte che hanno alcune statistiche simili a Vruz considero l'acquisto di Vruz tramite VOUCHER un buon acquisto.

Se avessi 400k token SPS staked comprerei sicuramente 400 copie di Vruz per avere Vruz di livello massimo nella mia collezione ma ho solo 56K SPS.

E' solo la mia previsione, non è un consiglio finanziario e potrei sbagliarmi ma penso che 1 copia di Vruz avrà un valore di mercato non inferiore a 0.20$-0.25$.

Cercherò di aggiungere Vruz almeno di livello 8 alla mia collezione e per il timig di acquisto dei BCX che non potrò acquistare durante la promo card sale mi farò guidare da:

• il numero di carte in circolazione
• il valore di mercato dei token VOUCHER

Spero che Splinterlands dia seguito a questa bella iniziativa con altre simili in futuro per incentivare lo staking dei token SPS e per aggiungere casi d'uso ai token SPS e ai token VOUCHER.
