Hola comunidad. Por fin terminé esta acuarela que la tenía postergada por más de un año. Creo que llegó un punto que me desmotivó. Ver que no estaba obteniendo los resultados deseados, hizo que la abandonara. De hecho me puse a pintar otra que terminé mucho antes, esa la hice en una semana.

Sin embargo sí hubo algo que me gustó y fueron las nubes, aunque en las fotos no se aprecien mucho. Para mí es algo de lo más difícil en la acuarela, pero quizás para los expertos sea de lo más fácil. Por cierto, que pregunté por un curso de acuarela en Caracas y me salía en $180, así que prefiero aprender solo a mi ritmo, total no tengo apuro, ni estoy en una competencia por ser profesional. Es posible que si el HIVE estuviera más alto, no habría dudado y ya estaría inscrito, ya que cada clase la monetizaría bien; pero en estos momentos estamos en modo austeridad.

Otra de las cosas que me parecen muy difíciles, es el mar y con reflejos. Aunque en una acuarela anterior logré un buen resultado, en esta fue terrible jajaja. La verdad no sé qué me pasó que me quedó tan mal.

Seeing that I wasn't getting the results I wanted made me abandon it. In fact, I started painting another one that I finished much earlier, which I did in a week.

However, there was something I did like, and that was the clouds, although you can't really see them in the photos. For me, they are one of the most difficult things to paint in watercolor, but perhaps for experts they are one of the easiest. By the way, I asked about a watercolor course in Caracas and it would have cost me $180, so I prefer to learn on my own at my own pace. After all, I'm in no hurry, nor am I competing to become a professional. If my HIVE were higher, I might not have hesitated and would already be enrolled, since I would get my money's worth out of each class, but right now we're in austerity mode.

Another thing I find very difficult is the sea and reflections. Although I achieved a good result in a previous watercolor, this one was terrible, ha ha ha. I really don't know what happened to me that it turned out so badly.

La referencia fue una foto que tomé en un viaje a Tenerife en 2011. Esta es la piscina de un hotel en el sur de la isla. En ese momento estaba cumpliendo un sueño, aunque fue a medias. Resulta que en 1990 conocí ese lugar cuando con mi familia caminamos de noche y quedé enamorado. Aunque son las piscinas del hotel, cualquiera puede entrar, porque además hay un restaurante, pero no te puedes bañar en la piscina. Mi sueño era volver cuando adulto, incluso pensé en luna de miel jajajaja. La idea era hospedarme en el hotel, pero solo me tomé un Wiskey en el restaurante con vista al mar.

Fue un momento increíble y pueden ver en la factura que el Wiskey me costó €5.5, eso me hace pensar que hace unas semanas tomé un café en Caracas por $6 😡.
