Cursed Windeku are nightmarish creatures that live in the deepest and darkest woods. They hunt at night, stalking their prey before attacking with their claws, while their thorn-like horns and natural healing ability provide an excellent defense. They exude a pungent pheromone that reduces the reaction time of their victims, often allowing the Windeku to begin devouring them before they are dead. While these lifeless creatures may appear animalistic, they are highly intelligent. They have heeded the call put forth by the Lord of Darkness. Los Windeku malditos son criaturas de pesadilla que viven en los bosques más profundos y oscuros. Cazan por la noche, acechando a sus presas antes de atacarlas con sus garras, mientras que sus cuernos con forma de espina y su capacidad natural de curación les proporcionan una excelente defensa. Lately I've been doing very bloody drawings and since I'm finding characters like this in @Splinterlands, it's evident that my #fanart has increased a lot more, like this drawing. I perused the SPT page for a very good while and finally found an illustration that caught my attention, as was this Cursed Windeku card. It was inevitable not to draw it, so let's see how my version looks like for this week's art contest.

Últimamente he estado haciendo dibujos muy sangrientos y ya que en @Splinterlands estoy encontrando personajes así, es evidente que mis #fanart han aumentado mucho más, como es este dibujo. Revise la pagina de SPT por un muy buen rato y por fin encontré una ilustración que me llamara la atención, como lo fue esta carta de Cursed Windeku. Fue inevitable no dibujarla, así que veamos como queda mi versión para el concurso de arte de esta semana.

When I sat down to see the character and try to get some idea for my drawing, several ideas came to me, but none of them convinced me at all, I made about three sketches and I didn't like any of them. I left my desk for a while, to go out for a while and distract my mind and think of a better idea, which worked for me, because after that moment I had, I got an idea for my drawing and that's when I finally sat down to make the final sketch.

Cuando me senté a ver el personaje y tratar de obtener alguna idea para mi dibujo, me llegaron varias ideas, pero ninguna me convencía del todo, hice como tres bocetos y ninguno me gusto. Deje un rato mi escritorio, para salir un rato y distraer mi mente y así pensar en una mejor idea, lo cual me funciono, ya que después de ese momento que tuve, me llego una idea para mi dibujo y fue cuando me senté a hacer por fin el boceto final.

The original illustration is a kind of cannibal creature, super macabre in my opinion, but I think that's what caught my attention the most about the character as such. For my version, I wanted to make a bloody demon, eating what's left of his victim, the heart. To be honest, I liked the sketch a lot and I think it's very similar to the original character, having great similarities between both.

La ilustración original es una especie de criatura caníbal, super macabra a mi parecer, pero creo eso fue lo que más me llamo la atención del personaje como tal. Para mi versión, quise hacer un demonio sangriento, comiendo lo que queda de su victima, el corazón. La verdad, el boceto me gusto mucho y creo que se asemeja bastante al personaje original, teniendo grandes similitudes entre ambos.

To work the color in the drawing, the only thing I had to do was to look at the color palette of the original illustration, which makes me laugh a little, but it's because it's a color palette that I love, in blues, purples, reds and oranges. It's actually my favorite color palette at the moment and it's the one I've been using lately in all my drawings, so it's something I really enjoy working with.

Para trabajar el color en el dibujo, lo único que tuve que hacer fue fijarme en la paleta de color de la ilustración original, la cual me da un poco de risa, pero es porque es una paleta de color que me encanta, en colores azules, morados, rojos y naranjas. De hecho es mi paleta de color favorita actualmente y es la que usado últimamente en todos mis dibujos, así que algo que disfrute trabajar bastante la verdad.

As I said before, I have been working with a cold color palette a little monochromatic, since it is always in its entirety and what abounds more is the blue color, adding some shades of purple and also red, but the truth is too well and for this drawing, which is a composition of a cannibal creature and a little dark, it is perfect, because it makes a complementation of everything very well.

Como dije anteriormente, he venido trabajando con una paleta de color fría un poco monocromática, ya que siempre es en su totalidad y lo que abunda más es el color azul, agregando algunos tonos de morado y también rojo, pero la verdad queda demasiado bien y para este dibujo, el cual es una composición de una criatura caníbal y un tanto oscura, quede perfecta, porque hace una complementación de todo muy bien.

To be finished, the only thing I had to work on were the details, like some shadows in the drawing, to give it a little more contrast. I also did the linear and some glows in white and that's it. To tell the truth, I'm really surprised how my last drawings are turning out, I feel they have much more life.

Ya para ir terminado, lo único que tuve que trabajar fueron los detalles, como algunas sombras en el dibujo, para darle un poco mas de contraste. También hice el linear y algunos brillos en blanco y listo. La verdad, me estoy sorprendiendo mucho como me están quedando mis últimos dibujos, siento que tienen mucha más vida.
