Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Socmed Challenge's Session. For this week Challenge, I want to share about how Splinterlands have opened a new world for me, what does that mean? Let's check it out !

About Splinterlands

It's a very popular game, but if you haven't play it yet, i will give you a simple explanation about Splinterlands. Splinterlands (SPL) is a collectible card games where you could battle against other players (or their bots 😅) to get some rewards. Those rewards could be cards or splintershards that could be traded with other people. This mean you could earn by getting the rewards (and there is many more ways to earn from this game, such as tournament, guild brawl, even write the contents and flipping cards). The gameplay is very simple, you just have to create a lane-up with a ruleset and mana cap that different on each battle. Bring your best monster with your best strategy to beat the enemy.

What Does Splinterlands Brings to My Life ?

1st. Blockchain Concept.
2021, before i play splinterlands, I was having very little information about blockchain and NFT, but i decide to learn it in order to start playing splinterlands. Why ? Because i'm not those royal players with much money to spent on the game, so i have to be carefully learn the concept before starting to spend money.
2nd. Calcultion and Management Skills
Unlike another games that i've been played, splinterlands are more advance because there is requirement for each league and the level cap on each league as well, and it's so important to get a competitive deck to win the game, because some ability are unlock on specific level, as well the stats improvement,and if you don't have the money (or don't want) to spent on the cards, there is a rental system for players which is get me like "wow" because i never had this kind of game before. And because i had motivation to earn from the game, i have to calculate very carefully so the rental cost will covered by the rewards.
3rd. Crypto Reality Which Could be Cruel
Playing Splinterlands on it's peak in October 2021, making money is easy with ranked play or renting cards. I decide to invest to get some cards that having high ROI. Venari wavesmith is very popular those days to combine with alric, that makes him having very high demand with more than 100% ROI. I keep accumulating until having around 55 copies from 2$ each, until around 4$ each. Venari wavesmith cards is having ATH around 6$, and my decision to keep is is a completely wrong because i don't aware of the updates that old summoner will replaced with new edition, and this update saw the wavesmith 's price is drop until just around 0.055$ right now (ever dropped into just 0.02x), which cause me to lose big money (for me). The coin have dropped significanly as well, around 90% which slap me and my dream to be able living just by gaming into the reality. Now i've become more aware about crypto and p2e games.
4. New community
At my early time playing splinterlands, i tried to reach Indonesian Group of Splinterlands and found the telegram group which is very informative with friendly communities there. Not just sharing information about the game, there is many more that i got here, such as the schoolarship, hive, and another p2e games. This community that cheers their member when things not going well. We laugh and have a sad moment together, even until right now, this group is one of my-must-check group everyday. I also got closer circle on electronz guild which get me the opportunity to play on brawl match, earn gladius cards, and sps as well to help me get more profit from this game.
5. Hive
This is the most precious things after the community, splinterlands by it's indonesian community have brought me to this awesome social media. When splinterlands had a big bear trend, hive become the alternative to get side income. Writing has been my hustle later, and i decide to invest some money here as well, that i borrow from a bank. Hive open wide opportunity for me and for most people here as well to get the income by creating great quality post from our own passion. Hive bring alternative games as well for me and many gamers out there, because sometimes bore will come if we just playing one games. From hive, i've get to know and keeps playing risingstar, woo, and terracore as well.

What's Next ?

Since lands are ready to operating soon, splinterlans and it's tokenomics are showing green sign, i will keep playing this game and thinking about rebuild my deck, because i've been hanging on rent too much and my cards are quite random because contained rewards and some unpack cards that is not integrated yet.

Conclusion

For me, splinterlands is not just a game, it's blessed me with much more precious things, because i've got the knowlegde about crypto and blockchain with it's cruel reality, and deliver me to this awesome hive community that i've been looking for. And of course, i've got many enjoyment from this game and some profit as well 😊

Interesting beginning to your Splinterlands and Hive journey, I started off from scratch as well not investing big into the game, I funded my Splinterlands with Hive earnings and grew organically to the Gold league where I now play.
