I just so happen to have some Splinterland assets. That means I was lucky enough to have got an airdrop of SPS tokens yesterday. Since this SPS airdrop takes place daily for a year straight I'll be getting more SPS airdropped to me today. If you are holding Splinterlands assets you will likely get some SPS airdroped to you as well. If you are not holding Splinterlands assets I urge you to ask yourself the question,"Why Not".
Today I will be giving away one SPS token to five different accounts who take the time to leave a reply in the comment section below. I purchased some DEC and SPT about a month ago and am very glad I did. With the run up in prices I sold just enough of them to recoup my initial investments and am still left with quite a nice stake of both. Just this morning I paired my remaining DEC with BUSD and put it in the CUB Farm to grow. The daily airdrop awards are a nice addition to this holding!
Now I'm in the process of learning the game to grow more with Splinterlands.

In past i played a lot card games like splinterlands. My last game i mean after splinterlands is "Legends of runeterra". Anyway im gamer all my life, but in last time problems with money, low payment etc. and i watch some videos on youtube, like "how to play and earn real money in game". I find one cool man, i see him on hive also, they sometimes support me with votes, and i try to tnx and give support back. On Yt video, they say how in 1 month can make 50 usd, but need invest 10 usd... I dont test game, i just paid with paypal, i give my last money from paypal and i not regret. Many card prices raise up, like begginer i try to learn game, learn tactics but on YT cant find nothing good, nobody share nothing... And i find 2 cool persons on twitch, and i give tnx for help

Sooooooooo... I was on Steem every day way before Splinterlands came around... but I didn't get into it at all because I really had no spare money at all... it wasn't until I won a couple of cards a year later that I decided to buy the starter pack and begin playing. I resisted for such a long time because it always felt too late.
When Hive actually split from Steem, I was so mad at Steem that I powered everything down and bought Splinterlands cards instead - which in hindsight turned out to be a super good plan.
The falsehood of, its too late. I done the same thing with land. I took a 10 month break from everything online and end up missing the presale $10 land plots. Came back to $20 land plots being almost sold out. I didn't end up buying any and now some have sold for upwards of $250 USD. The, I'm too late mindset is a hard one to shake.
It really is... but you also can't put a price on a 10 month break. That's honestly amazing!
The good thing is that it seriously does feel like there are so many exciting things around the corner too.
Too many things to list out that will make the game even better. The developers are amazing at what they do and I feel fortunate to be witnessing it first hand.
Prior to all the SPS, rental system and untamed packs being sold out, I bought a lvl 5 Bortus for $19. That lvl 5 Bortus is worth $296. This is just insane! is this real??? I am still shocked about everything that's going on now with splinterlands :D

either splinterlands or gwent ( a minigame in Witcher 3). Both are damn awesome. If we ignore earning part I like gwent probably a bit more. But I do like to earn while playing games so this is an even battle.
Nice, I have one of the Witcher games here but I'm not sure what one. I may have to give it a play one of these days when I have the spare time to do so.
Witcher 3 for me is a perfect game. But I also love previous Witcher games. So hopefully you will have a good time regardless of which game it is.

I just started playing splinterlands game ,less than 48hrs now ,I think am still learning because i had more losing than winning but I think with time I will learn more
The monsters with the saw on them generally need to go in the first position. For most rulesets they can't strike from back positions. The exception to this is the monsters that have the green claw displayed on them. They can strike from the first and second position. Sneak Monsters can strike from any position. When playing its usually best to place a high life monster in first position. Range monsters should be in the back as they can't strike from first position. Magic can strike from any position.

As far as Splinterlands goes:
Like so many stories I've been reading over the last 24 hours (yeah, haven't done too much sleeping), I got into it during the Alpha/Beta stages... bought a couple of packs and was fairly active. The game got a little pricey for me (was using STEEM to buy packs and when the STEEM price tanked and SL packs became too expensive (relatively), I stepped away)... BUT I kept all my cards. Maybe it was because I'm a hoarder, or maybe I thought it would go the way of my early edition MTG cards... either way I'm OVER THE MOON that I kept the cards I had (while simultaneously hating myself for giving up in those early days), and now I'm planning to get back into playing regularly again. Even switched all my auto-hive-votes-for-passive-curation to the SPT crowd... so the next couple months are definitely gonna see me getting a lot more active.
Will SPS price hold? hmmm... seems fairly high to me to be BUYING more (but too cheap to be dumping the few I have & will be getting every day)... hahahaha.
Either way the airdrop coins are free... so staking free coins and earning more free coins sounds like the solid plan to me.

My story is similar to yours. I was originally only going to spend $50 on the Alpha kickstarter but once BETA came rolling out I was hooked and tossed a few grand at BETA. I'm very happy that I did.

If I was a new player I would focus on earning SPT for SPS airdrop via creating content on the frontend Splintertalk. I would purchase the $10 starter and earn my dailies. Hopefully hit something good in chest rewards, sell it to purchase needed cards to better my deck. Rinse and repeat until the new booster cards are released and then go from there. Currently the cost of building a deck is high. It will be much cheaper to do so when the new edition of boosters arrive. The airdropped SPS tokens take place everyday for 12 months straight so there's still lots of time to get in "early".

BEER.The SPS launch has been nothing short of amazing! I checked on the price of SPS last night and it was sitting at $1.07!!!!! Of course it had to come down a little since then, but even at these levels, I don't think anyone really expected this.
That was a really nice gesture delegating an extra card to pixiepost.
This whole situation is insane. The SPS price not only survived the first day of the airdropped tokens being sold off but it increased in value. If SPS somehow manages to stay afloat around the $0.40-$1.00 range or even lower then that its value will sky rocket in a year when there's no more airdropped SPS flooding the market.
I hear there will be a test of the SPS price when the pancake swap hyper inflation ends after two days. What SPS price does over the next couple days should give a clue as to were we are headed in the weeks and months ahead.
That pancakeswap payout looked pretty nice for a while... although it's still going to be distributing the same amount, just not as much per staker. Same thing with the SPS distributed overall, it will get diluted as people get more points during this year.
True, but if most of the airdrop is locked up in staking and not floating around on exchanges, there shouldn't be too much downward pressure on the price. I hope!

I made an apparent mistake in flipping SPS on Hive-Engine last night. I took a break, but left it in hive. So when I bought the SPS I borrowed from my drop later, I barely made anything. I wouldn't mind more to flip. Lets see if we can drive the price up even higher...lol

I got into Splinterlands with a friend as a game with both played for years and put in a decent amount of money just suddenly stopped getting updates with no notice and fairly quickly raids and this stopped working. Come to find out the GMs that were running the server were making end game items and selling them to the highest $$ bidder, causing market crashes in game and when they got caught the parent company just basically dropped the server. That leaving a bad taste in our mouths brought us to the play-to-earn, blockchain styles games and Splinterlands. We've been loving it so far!

Splinterlands keeps leveling up their game and now the SPS is another layer that will turn heads (if not already). This and Rising Star are really the two best games around imho. I just need to get the hang of some of the battling. Some of my gaming videos definitely prove that 😂🤣

My favorite card game as a child would be Yugioh but I can't buy card packs irl at that age so I really liked Splinterlands. I could keep buying stuff with my pay having the excuse that it's an NFT play to earn game lol

I have been playing for over a year now and really dove deep a few months ago, definitely no regrets! I would like to participate in the SPS giveaway, too. The topic I would like to discuss is about the recent server loads in Splinterlands. I understand that this is due to the recent airdrops that have attracted many new players, however, this have impacted me and some others in a negative way: I can't play lately, because it seems I surrendered or I can't submit my team. I don't want to rant against the new players, because I'm a new player myself! And in the long run, I think more players and the SPS airdrops only means good things for all of us. Nevertheless, I feel a little bit underwhelmed about not being able to play. Thank you @rentmoney!
Thats a completely understandable feeling to have. I'm sure the DEVS of Splinterlands have taken notice of the server issues and are very likely doing what they can to help the with the new influx of players. This is just a temperarily speed bump.

How i know about this game was really random. It was during the Brave x splinterland colaboration period. I was using Brave browser to earn some bat coin and chance upon a SPL ad on brave front page and the rest was history. Currenly my favouriate card is Yodin Zaku. I will always rent it if i have fire, snipe or sneak quest.
I learned about Splinterlands after discovering Axie Infinity and seeing the high cost of entry. Seems like Splinterlands is headed in the same direction. I fear rental cards will jump in price and make certain leagues unsustainable for us who have no power.
I am avid player of splinterland's but still I have taken long break from game from time to time.
I have collected little stake in almost all tribe is Hive and plan to do so till end of this year.
I feel , I will have solid base in Hive till then.
I was not aware of difference between "alpha" card vs "Beta" card at start.(that alpha card require less number of cards to upgrade then Beta) . I might be owing lot of alpha card otherwise.

You came back just in time to see assets prices go through the roof. For years it’s been trying to break out and now it has happened. I know you waited patiently and now being rewarded. I just hope I get a little of this price action as I have invested what I could into the game. Seeing where it is now was worth the wait.
Its crazy to think that if the game gains further adaption that these prices might not be the ceiling. The SPS token has a chance to be worth dollars each if mass adaption is achieved.

Let me give you a nice short story. I onboarded my best friend that moved to Australia into Splinterlands and he invested about 200$ or even less I can’t remember, plus I think it was about 2years ago or close. He never played much except occasionally when I challenged him up to kick his ass. I called him up to check his account value recently and it was worth about $2k, he almost shit himself. Everything I thought and explained about splinterlands is coming to pass. Even when no one understood me. I’m honored to be here, y’all made it worth it.
