Digital Property Rental via Gaming NFT = PASSIVE INCOME... = QUIT YOUR JOB?!?

Today I am super excited to talk you about MATH... and I've got an equation for you to noodle about... (think about).

Why am I excited about MATH? Because if done properly... this math problem will allow you to RETIRE. Yes. You read that right.

Let's begin, shall we?

For the last 8 years, my friends and family have called me crazy when I talk about Bitcoin, Crypto or anything related...

But if you're reading this... you're probably one of the crazy ones too.

The absolute BEST feature that Splinterlands offers, other than the game itself... Is the ability to RENT OUT your unused cards.

Why is this important?

Well... it's a little more complicated than: "bEcAuSe I eArN tEh MoNiEz"... but only a little.

Let's say you invest in a rental property - $150,000 for the property and all updates/reno/etc... Let's assume you receive $1,000/month in rent.

So far this is easy to extrapolate:

$1,000/month = $33.33/day or $12,000/year.

Without borrowing the money... how many people do you think have $150,000?

If you answered: "Not many"... you'd be right 🏆

I can hear you now... "But Dingus, why would you bring up a HOUSE?"

First of all...

Second... let's do some slightly more complicated math...

• DEC is currently trading at $.00427 or just under half a penny

• Dividing $33.33 by $.00427 = 7,805 DEC

That means investing $150,000 into a Rental Property would yield 7,805 DEC per day... But you have to pay HOA fees, deal with shitty tenants, keep the house/property maintained (HVAC and Plumbing work is EXPENSIVE).

So... How much would it cost to get the same return via Splinterlands Cards?

Let's check it out!

If you go into the Splinterlands Market and find the cheapest commons - they're usually the Reward Set cards that are CURRENTLY being awarded as prizes.

I just purchased 3 Gargoya Lions for $.038 each 😄

If you combine 400 Reward Commons you get:

• 1 Level 10 Common - TA DAAAAAAAAAA!

Important Info to write down:

A Level 1 Common is known as a "Base Card" and when you combine them you see a number such as 400 followed by BCX.

• BCX is how many Level 1 cards it took to combine. 400 BCX = 400 Level 1 Cards.

Each Reward Common is worth FIVE (5) Collection Points or CP.

Therefore a Level 10 Common, a 400BCX card SHOULD be worth 2,000 CP... but it isn't!! It's worth 2,100 CP due to some shenanigans I spoke of here:

• Collection Points are used for two things:

1. League Calculation
2. Collection Power for Airdrop Rewards (Day 165/365)

Currently for every 1,000 Airdrop Rewards points you have, you earn roughly .1 SPS per day.

Ready?

If we can purchase a Common for just under $.04... and it takes 400 of them to make a Level 10 and a Level 10 is worth 2,100 CP...

What do you get...???

Well... You get nothing*... unless you RENT OUT THE CARD!!!

That's right! You can earn 5.5 DEC/day by renting out your Level 10 Gargoya Lion!

• Please note this fluctuates a LOT and is MUCH HIGHER towards the end of each 15 day season.

MAAAAAAAAAAAATH TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME!!!!

If one L10 Common "Gargoya Lion" = 5.5 DEC/day... then you would need: 7,805 DEC / 5.5 DEC = 1,419... to earn the same as your $150k house investment...

But wait... how much cash would be required to get THAT many cards?

Well... 1,419 * 400 * $.038 = $21,568

$150k investment with... possible crappy tenants, upkeep, taxes, insurance and other yucky stuff...

• I know about this shit because I have a rental property and while it has perks... it's also kind of a pain in the ass (my current tenants are amazing and I love them)

Or.......................

$21,568 to earn the SAME AMOUNT as a $150k House... Right? RIGHT?

Remember the "" from earlier? The "You get nothing" remark?...

Well in addition to the Rental Income each card is worth 2,100 CP... so you earn SPS from the Airdrop Rewards!

If 1,000 AD Points = .1 SPS and each Card is worth 2,100 CP then each L10 Card earns .21 SPS per day from the Airdrop...

m0aR MAAAAAAAAAATH!!!!

.21 SPS per card * 1,419 = 298 SPS per day on top of the Rental Income... At current market prices, SPS is $.186 and that yields:

• 298 SPS x $.186 = $55/day...

That actually means for $21,568 you'd earn: $88.33 per day... so to make the equations equivalent you divide $33.33 by $88.33 to get 37.73%

Since you earn both SPS and Rental Income from your Cards... you only need 37.73% of the $21,568 to earn as much as I do from my Rental Property...

How much is that? $8,138... and you don't need to do it all at once!

• You can #play2earn and invest your DEC winnings...
• You can Combine/Rent your cards and roll that up...
• You can use your AD Rewards from your cards to Stake to earn Vouchers and more SPS... or Buy more Cards...

You can turn this "game" into a source of income equivalent to a Rental Property with only $8,138 worth of assets!

Then 10x that to make $10k per month and fucking RETIRE

OH WAIT... I'm not quite finished... It gets better 😳

If you ever looked at the Rewards Set you may have noticed cards like Lord Arianthus and Ruler of the Seas are in there...

Well that's because they WERE Rewards cards... So after the Gargoya Lions, Pelacor Mercs, etc run out... there will be NEW cards to take their places and the Rental price of the lowest L10 Reward Common that's NOT currently in Loot Chests is FOURTEEN (14) DEC/day... more than DOUBLE the current Reward Card Rental Income...
