Splinterlands Land Update Episode 6 with the Weekly Land Market Report - 1/14/24
Gooooooooooooooood Mooooorning PRAETOOOOORIANNNNNNNNS!!!
A lot has happened since last week, with most of the action happening in Plot 4 of Virren and in the Land Market on Peakmonsters!
Last week the 24h Volume was $2,238 vs the past 24h Volume of just $1,235. I suspect the falling Crypto Markets had a big part to play here and just wait until you see the Land Prices changes in the later section!

Ok ok ok - I know, you're not here for all this "Information"... You want to get out into the wild, see what's been uncovered and congratulate those who've made their claims!! So without further ado... LET'S GET TO IT AND GO LIVE IN PRAETORIA WITH FIELD MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Let's head out into the field and see what we can find... hopefully none of those creepy crawly critters... although... on the other hand... I know what it means to claim an "Occupied" Plot... so best of luck on your infestation... gulp... into the field we go!!!!
A few key things to note with (R139) Virren - While Hills (24.2%), Bog (21.3%) and Forest (15.6%) made up the majority of (R138) Shadowvale... Virren so far has been predominantly Badlands (37.43%) with River coming in 2nd (8%) and Swamp is 3rd with only (6.29%)... Shadowvale was lush and verdant compared to the Montana-esque Badlands of Virren...
With that being said, so far Virren has a LOT to be discovered and only time will tell what the eventual topography looks like... although there are clues on the map itself... 😉
There were no Tracts or Regions Claimed since last week and since we ended our journey on (R139) Virren, Tract 04 Plot 005. We shall resume our journey from there this week!!
Let us leave them to it and as we do, wish them best of luck as we being moving on from their Shard Mine construction site.
Coming up on our first NEW PLOT of the day... we see (R139) Virren: T04, P006 is owned by... @putin2222... Well... that's an interesting choice of username but they have uncovered a Common Natural Badlands and have it up for sale for 65k DEC... which is almost DOUBLE the current Market Price... Best of luck on that sale but I think it will be awhile...
P007 is also a (C) Natty Badlands but this one is owned by @beetlejoos!! lol - quite the play on words, I shan't say it thrice!!! Congratulations on your Land Claim and for the moment it is lying dormant, we can't wait to see what you build!
I'm sorry Dr Evil but you're wrong... Once that Molten Hot Liquid Rock breaches the surface... the term is Lava... But thank you for the wonderful color commentary!
P009 is @sapper11g again! Well howdy Sapper! Back again for more Land Claiming I see! Last week, if you remember Sapper11g claimed a Plot in Shadowvale and upon surveying it, it was a Rare Magic [Fire] Mountain where he had a Research Hut... "Researching... Stuff."
This week Sapper Claimed and Surveyed Plot 009 and it is yet another (C)[N] Baddy and they have a small Grain Farm working those fields! Gotta keep the workers fed!
P010 is a Rare Natural Caldera claimed by @sc789 and is up for sale on the market for 64.5k DEC... which is quite a bit higher than the LowMkt price of a Rare Natty... but things change quickly in Praetoria and the next thing you know, that might be a bargain!
P011 is... a (C) Natty Caldera, congrats @felipejoys on your find and we can see you have a Grain Farm with almost 10k pp putting out 165g/h!! Keep that grain coming because we're going to need it in Land 2.0!
P012 is... well looky there!! It's ndirish8988 again!! This time they have surveyed a Rare Natty Caldera with a Grain Farm under construction to feed all the hungry hungry hippos... err workers.
Coming up to P013 we see ndirish8988 again and this time they're building a Shard Mine upon their newly Surveyed (C)[N] Baddy Plot! My guess is this is where those Grain Shipments will be going 😉
P014 is yet again, a (C)[N] Baddy Plot. This one has been claimed by @miguikarpin and it's quietly sitting here, barren and awaiting development!
P015 is a Common OCCUPIED Tundra Plot, which is another Plot Claimed by ndirish8988!! Congrats on the FROZEN HORROR SHOW you've Claimed... Enjoy NOT SLEEPING at night with these abominations roaming around!! I'm sure they look at your Igloo like a delicious dessert: "Cold and crunchy on the outside. With a soft, warm, chewy filling!!"
I mean... I'm happy for you bro... but we're practically BFF's at this point... SO HOW ABOUT SOME WARNING NEXT TIME MY GUY!!! BLEHHHHHHHHHHHHHSFDGSDGSFS...
P016 is ANOTHER (C)[N] Badlands claimed by @ednamode!! Congrats on your Land Claim and while it's currently inactive, we can't wait to see what you build!
P017 is a (C)[N] Caldera owned by @judschien and they're building a Grain Farm which will add to their Regional Grain Tally, once completed!
P018 takes us to another (C)[N] Caldera, with this one being another ndirish8988 Claim!! They're back for more Land in Virren and have left this one dormant for now!
Now... Here's an interesting development... or should I say LACK of it!!
The next 14 Plots. Stretching from T04, P019 to T04, P032 are all Claimed by @ciberrich - but they haven't been surveyed!!
I wonder what they're waiting for!! Who knows what's going on in their heads but I will keep tabs on their swath of unsurveyed plots for the latest developments!
Skipping to P033, @nichtwiesie has Claimed, Surveyed and Listed a Rare Natty Canyon!! This one is only 53,345k DEC - which is PENNIES above the current LowMkt Price!! Congrats on the find and I hope it sells soon!
I bet this one sells shortly and if you're looking for a well priced Rare Plot in Virren - this one might be for you!!
They currently have it on the market for 41.5k DEC which was a good price for last week but the markets have dropped since then... I think once we see a slight rebound, this will sell quickly!
Congrats on your (R)[N] Caldera!! This one is also up for sale at a very low price of 53,345k DEC!! Best of luck on your sale and I can't wait to see what's next!!
P036 is a (C)[N] Badlands, Claimed by @fuerte100 - congrats!! They've already built a tiny Shard Mine and are earning .038 SPS/h! Not bad for a C with just a few workers on it!!
Next up is P037 and that is a (C)[N] Caldera that was C/S/L by altf4killslag from previously - they also have it listed at 41.5k DEC which is a fairly competitive price but definitely above the floor price of (C)[N] Land right now.
P038 is a (C)[N] Canyon owned by @cryptofrancois and they've got a decent sized Grain Farm operating on it with 35k pp and 704Gr/h! Nice work buddy!! Keep it up!
P039 is around the corner and we see... OMG NO WAY!!!!
MY BESTIE NDIRISH8988 HAS COME BACK FOR MORE!!! THIS TIME CLAIMING AN EPIC NATTY CALDERA!!!

P040 is... SHUT. THE. FRONT. DOOR!!! NDIRISH AGAIN!! This time Claiming a (C) Magic [Fire] Caldera!!! WOW!! What a week for you!!
P041 is... lemme guess... more ndirish??? Nope!! It's fuente100 coming back again and snagging a (C)[N] Caldera where they've managed to build a tiny Grain Farm...
How they've managed to grow Grain in Lava... beats me... but they're doing it!!
P042 belongs to @mountainjewel and they've found a Rare Magic [Dragon] Caldera!! Woah that's awesome Moutainjewel!! Congrats on the Rare Magic Plot!! It's currently laying dormant but we can't wait to see what you build!
P043 is also a mountainjewel find! This time they claimed a (C)[N] Caldera!! Also devoid of work, we'll keep any eye out for any developments!
P044 is next and that's cryptofrancois coming back to snatch another plot!! It too is a (C)[N] Caldera and they've got a tiny Shard Mine up an running already! They're extracting .235 SPS/h for 12k pp and that's not bad!!
P045 is another (C)[N]Caldera as expected and it's owned by @myfreebtc!! Congrats on that Plot, it's barren with no signs of work but we'll stay alert for changes!
Wait... what? What do you mean "As Expected"... How did I know what kind of Plot is was probably going to be??? Really?
If you haven't noticed yet, @nateaguila and the Art Team at Splinterlands have done a PHENOMENAL JOB at illustrating this BEAUTIFUL MAP and the Land Templates we see... Yes. That was a HINT...
If you haven't noticed, the Land Plot/Tract/Region you survey is MADE UP OF THE LAND ILLUSTRATED BY NATE AND THE ART TEAM!!! Look at the MAP... The Plots to be discovered are IN A GIANT VOLCANO and thus... are probably going to be Calderas!!!
I'm also fairly confident any Magic Lands here will be Fire/Dragon/Death... BECAUSE THAT WOULD MAKE SENSE 🤣

P046 is ndirish again coming back to scoop a land but this time they grabbed one of those (C)[N] Badlands we've seen so much of! They're focusing they're work on the other plots while this one lays dormant.
P047 is ndirish again and they've found a (C)[N] Canyon (just like my lil ol' overworked Plot in (R102) Kithden!) - see what I mean... BESTIES!! We even have the SAME LAND PLOT TYPE!! #TWINSIES!!!
P048 is one of the final Plots for the week and this one is another (C)[N] Caldera but the owner is a new face here @jaopalas is constructing a tiny Shard Mine on their new Plot!! Congrats on the Land!! We'll check back later for updates!
P049 is sapper11g again! They got a (C)[N] Caldera too and are building a tiny Grain Farm on it!! Nice work this week sapper11g, you're quickly growing your Land Holdings!!
P050 is our final Plot this week and it takes us to the HALFWAY mark in Tract 04 of (R139) Virren!!
@thaag has C/S/L this (C)[N] Caldera for just over 41k DEC and while that is a good price overall... The LowMkt price this week may leave you SHOOK!!

- We are up to Plot 050 in (R139) Virren; Tract 04
- Nothing super crazy discovered so far but 14 Claimed Plots are left Unsurveyed!
- Land Markets are seeing large increases in supply across the board with exception of the Epic/Leggo Fancy Lands.
- I was right about the $1,337 being a DEAL on the Epic Occ Plot
- We are in Region 139 Tract 04 Plot 050... Which means we have 11 remaining Regions left... or 116 total Tracts... or only 11,555 remaining PLOTS!
- Land 2.0 will stir things up as only certain buildings can be build on certain land!! This is probably one of the driving factors behind Land Price volatility...
- Land Claims section updated and not much movement!
- Keep Prices are CLOSELY following SPS Price Action!!

It is a region. I got 2 tracts, one bought, one won on raffle. One of them got the castle, the other just a keep. :)

Yes, the raffle, but I mostly bought a bot of raffle tickets that people sold. I got some like 50 totems too, and a load of other stuff.
All I can say is: I wish I didn't scoff at "Steemmonsters" when I saw it back in 2019 or so...
Spells of Genesis felt like taking a HUGE L... which has turned out to not be the case!!!
Some of those NFTs are worth quite a bit now and I suspect they'll be "Crypto Museum Candidates" someday lol!
I would say the same about Gods Unchained, as I did it instead of Splitnerlands, but that one may still pull it off.
