Splinterlands offers a variety of possibilities to earn DEC, Cards or Packs, a lot of which I have already covered in this post. This week however I discovered the Splinterlands Telegram Trivia Contest. An opportunity for everyone the win packs, by answering trivia questions about Splinterlands.

The Rules

The contest is divided into three sections: The first two sections contain questions about monsters stats at a certain level and the third section has questions about Splinterlands lore. After the question is asked a timer runs down for a specific amount of time and people have the chance to give their answers. Depending on the section, correct answers are awarded with different amount of points.

First Section

This sections contains five questions about monsters stats (e.g. How much HP has the Sea Monster at level 5). Hereby the person with the first correct answer gets two points and every other correct answer is rewarded with one point. Everyone has 20 seconds to give their answer. Answers given afterwards won't count. There will however be no points lost for guessing or not answering at all.

Second Section

This is similar to section one, with again five questions about monsters stats, but the points are only given for the first three correct answers. Hereby the first correct answer will still get two points, but only the second and third answers will get one point. Anything after the first 3 answers will not be counted! And again, no points will be lost for guessing or for answering wrong and everyone will have 20 seconds to submit their answer.

Third Section

This is the trickiest part of the contest, which is why there is a 30 second countdown to submit the answers. You want to put in an answer at all costs, because if you don't submit an answer you'll lose one point. This round is a multiple choice question, which means if your guessing game is on point, you can earn a bunch of points in this final round. The first correct answer will get two points and the second correct answer will be awarded one point.

   3. First correct answer gets 2 points, only second answers will get 1 point
   4. Not answering at all will lose 1 point
   5. Questions are regarding Splinterlands Lore and multiple choice

The Prizes

The three people with the most points will earn prizes in the form of Untamed Packs:

1. Place receives 7 Untamed Packs
2. Place receives 5 Untamed Packs
3. Place receives 3 Untamed Packs

And even if you don't win, it's a lot of fun!

This time there were only around 12 people participating, so even if you don't know any of the Splinterlands lore and only a little bit of the monsters stats, you still stand a chance to win one of the three prizes just by guessing (and with a little bit of luck).
