# My very first season in Splinterlands, lots to learn but this is fun! - Splinter Stats Season 45 Report Card
As I've started midway through this season of Splinterlands I wasn't expecting much performance wise. Had to learn a lot but thanks to figuring out how to rent cards (will probably write more about this, there's some info to be found but not very detailed or complete) just before the end of season I was able to break free from the bronze III grind and slip into silver III to steal 12 loot chests (instead of a measily 5!) so I guess tha's great. Even got an epic card from season and a gold foil during daily quests.
|Rating||1338 - Silver III|
|Total Rating Movements (+-)||5463|
|Ranked Ratio (Win/Loss+Draw)||0.58 (121/207/1)|
|Tournament Ratio (Win/Loss+Draw)||1.08 (26/24/0)|
|Tournament Reward Placements||2/6|
|Highest Rated Win vs||@dexterhabbo (1955)|
Performance: how did I do? Meh, could be better. But like I said not much to expect from a noobie :-) For now I took a lot of losses but it helped me understand the basics of the game and a first grasp of what works and what doesn't. It pleasantly surprised me, the game mechanics are more interesting than it seems at first glance. Even advancing from bronze III to bronze II made the experience way more interesting. I think there's some work to be done by developers, showing the interesting parts of the game early on helps keep players around..
Top 10 Summoner Usage
|Summoner||Frequency||Teams Fielded||Win Rate|
|Wizard of Eastwood||57||18.45%||35.09%|
|Drake of Arnak||10||3.24%||30.00%|
Played a lot of fire apparently, will see if this stays the same in new leagues next season
Top 100 Monster Usage
|Monster||Frequency||Teams Fielded||Win Rate|
|Child of the Forest||34||11.00%||26.47%|
|Serpent of Eld||11||3.56%||27.27%|
haha for sure, matching with the fire summoner I used living lava a lot in the start. strongest tank for pole position in the early meta
Win Rate by Ruleset
|Rise of the Commons||4||25.00%|
|Back to Basics||4||100.00%|
|Odd Ones Out||3||0.00%|
|Keep Your Distance||3||33.33%|
|Up Close & Personal||3||33.33%|
|Fog of War||1||0.00%|
Starting out the only rule set available is standard, while this makes it easier for new players to get a feel for all the other mechanics it limits the experience you have. My first experience with other rule sets was in tournaments and eventually in bronze II and up just on the last day of season. Excited to play more different rules next season as this makes it much more fun (but also more complicated)
|No-Lose "Silver/Bronze" Sit N Go - 1hr ANYTIME||Bronze||RU||13/32||2.50 (5/2/0)||12 DEC|
|No-Lose "Bronze/Novice" Sit N Go - 1hr ANYTIME||Novice||RU||21/32||0.75 (3/4/0)||4 DEC|
Not much to tell you here. Just some random beginner tournies. After deducting the entry fee there's not much of a gain. But it can teach you a lot so will definitely keep doing these!
Standard Foil Cards
Gold Foil Cards
Captured DEC (Ranked Rewards)
|Ranked Play Wins||DEC Earned|
Total Ranked Play Rewards
|Total Ranked Play Earnings|
Got one gold and an epic card. Almost half of the total value of earnings came from those two!
So all in all: not bad for a (half!) first season, looked like I was gonna stay stuck in bronze III but thanks to some good rentals silver III gave many more rewards. Definitely gonna aim for at least that or more in next season. If you haven't yet check out Splinterlands here! Thanks for reading and till next time :-)
