I'm running a bit late with this one so apologies if anyone cares, though I can't imagine why anyone would. Although, I guess I would be thrilled to have a fan, even if the reason depresses me. Damn these first world problems.

So, this season didn't go at all like I had planned. I was hoping to break top 100 again and scrap my way back into Champion 1. As you can clearly see that didn't pan out. I'm not going to complain about a 132 ranking, but I still feel like I can do better so maybe this season will work out more to my liking. I think I have a better chance now.

As always Selenia leads the pack, but there is a bit of a surprise with Pyre only coming in 5th. I don't remember how long it's been, now, but I maxed out my Serpentine Spy, which I think is an amazing card, and feel like fire has been my go to when dragons aren't an option. I guess Alric had something to prove this round.
Getting back to Selenia..., her low mana cost and versatility make her the obvious choice under most circumstances, but I believe she's about to get a run for her money. I added three legendary summoners to my arsenal recently and Byzantine Kitty is already surpassing my MVPs. I didn't do bad with Mimosa, but Chanseus didn't come in as strong as I would have imagined. I feel like the Life splinter is probably my weakest option..., not because I don't have decent cards, but because I tend to gravitate to the same few I really like and that's kind of a handicap.

There's really no need to say anything here. It's almost always the same, with the possible exception of Fallen Specter coming in 6th. Mimosa seriously augments this card's usefulness. Void keeping it alive against Reflect Magic bumps it up to a whole new level. I imagine it will be spending significantly more time near the top of the list.

If you read any of these you probably know that it's not uncommon for me to do better in Up Close and Personal. I don't know why, but I just seem to do better with melee, even though I like magic better. Weird.
I am a bit surprised I did so well in Unprotected. I haven't really thought of it as one of my stronger suites but I guess the numbers don't lie.
I will say I'm very surprised I did so well in Lost Legendaries. I'm a mechanics guy and I LOVE to stack stats. I stuff as many legendaries into a match as I can fit, often to a detriment. Maybe seeing this I can get over that, now.

Nothing really special this season. No GFLs or GFEs to get excited about.
Overall, I think I'm disappointed I didn't place higher in ranking and league, but I can't complain. The good thing about falling short is it's not as hard of a climb to recover from. See you next season!
